Why are some teachers leaving classrooms with unsupervised students, while running about town?

What is the Board of Education doing about the roof leaking in several areas?

Is it true that Buffalo's healthily foods plan is starving students because they do not have time to stand in line and eat lunch too?

Perhaps attention should be focused on some problems regarding education, instead of football.

Why do you not go to Board meeting and ask these questions?

Which school are you talking about? I haven't heard such issues from either? Just curious?

I don't know if teachers are running about the town, but their jobs is easier with new tech! I haven't heard about no leaks! I do agree that the food amount is not enough! My children always complain about the amounts! I have been looking into some stuff and going to contact the board! The BOE food is controlled by FDA. They changed things to help obesity! There are kids who go to practice after school throughout the year and get home late. They are not allowed to go back for seconds! Teenagers burn lots of calories and need more! As soon as they get home usually about 7 they are starving! I plan on talking to the BOE this week!

I urge the parents to go to the school them selves and check it out befor going to the board. It's better to have something concrete to bring to them other than something that is just hear say. You will get better results. Going with a bad attitude probably wont get you very far either. Like the sayin goes you get more flies with honey than vinagar. Rumors are always easily started by someone who is displeased by one thing or another please keep that in mind. I'm just a concerned parent and don't want to see something that was given to us be ridiculed and abused by rumors so quickly.

First, I am not displeased with anything other than what I mentioned. I posted to get a conversation started on these subjects. They are important topics.

I, too, urge parents and citizens to get involved with their school.

May I ask who gave Buffalo this school? It took the citizens of the Buffalo-Eleanor area twenty years of pressing for a new school. The taxpayers are making the payments. So, who gave us this school? We built this school.

Don't turn your back on this school's problems. All schools have issues. None are perfect.

This school has wonderful intelligent students who deserve the best.

Speaking for my son only. The food is his only complaint...doesn't taste good or enough...not the cooks fault they are just doing what they have to do...comes home hungry and yes he plays football but as far as his education, I would be concerned if I had something to be concerned about.

I agree 100% about our students and a number of our citizens. However, That school could have went to Poca, Hurricane, or some sort of consolidation in this county. That's just as far as the high school goes. Now there is something to be greatful for. Try looking on the bright side of things please. I'm not saying ignore any issues. I'm simply saying, If you hear something on a slanderous website as such investigate it for yourself befor going to the board with a hot head assuming something isn't being done about an issue that may not exsist. I'm not saying either issue doesn't exsist I'm urging you to take an interest. Think about it if you are argueing about something with someone about something that doesn't exsist and or you haven't taken the time to find out the facts for yourself, what are your chances of having a good out come?

the kids are in high school and should be able to be left alone. not because the teacher is out running around but still.

several leaks? more like a lot but every new building is going to have problems and I'm sure they will fix it.

yes the food is awful from what I hear and they don't get enough.

and focusing on the football team?!?! that's the least of that schools worries! all the other sports are the ones with the nice facilities! not football or track. which if a new field/stadium was built both sports would get nice facilities that they deserve. education is number 1 at buffalo and most other sports are put before football and track/crosscountry. football was always held high in a community and now it's not and look at the times. get back to the good old days where Friday night football is king and maybe people would also get back some old values! the program really needs new facilities and it would do so much better along with the hard working crosscountry and track kids!

We're the fastest growing county in the state and nearly doubled population in 15 years. We only have 4 high schools. To the poster above, consolidation is a dead issue in this county for a reason!

Will the digital sign in front of school be changed to show upcoming games and school events? Would be nice to see something other than the date and time. Also, school website needs updated on board website. Hurricane and Winfield's schools links have recent news, events, information... We have a new school, let's take pride in it and show it off a little!

I saw this poor freshman kid get their nose busted by some jock prick the other day. The dude was so embarrassed he left in the middle of the day and I haven't seen him back yet.

Take if from me, there absolutely needs to be better supervision and less catering to those shoulder pad wearing thugs.

The kid that got his nose busted needs to fight back. Fist, club what ever it takes. Bully's only pick on people who don't fight back.

It must be nice to be apart of a society that has a massive network of people in place to protect you and your rights. Shame the scrawny kid in HS doesn't get the same protection.
