Ambulance service absent on stretch of I-45
The drive from Dallas to Houston is now more dangerous than ever. A long stretch of Interstate 45 is without ambulance service between Buffalo to Leona - almost exactly between the two major metropolitan areas.

I can't believe Leon cty is this "narrow minded." do they realize their own family members & friends could also have a wreck there and die, with no ambulance. and that all other counties pay that same emergency tax..if they travel anywhere and have a wreck, they will get ambulance service but they don't think they should provide it to others? How insane is that? and that they also generate a lot of $revenue who travel that hwy and spend money at their motels, restaurants, gas stations, etc. Their taxes are already some of the lowest in the state. They are living in the past but I guess when they lose a family member they will understand.it's called cutting off your nose to spite your face
