We all loved Brandon, his laugh and quick wit will be missed. His family and other friends are in our prayers.

I look forward to again enjoying a good laugh with him someday in the future.

I would bet half of them hunters were drunk or impaired in some way. That hunter should be tried and sent to jail for just shooting at a random noise in the woods. This happens every year.

First of all, my heart aches for the friends and family of this young man, as well as the shooter.
The impact on his life will be profound and I will pray for him as well as the victim's family. Every hunting season this kind of tragedy occurs. It amazes me that a person will pull the trigger while aiming at what they "think" is a deer. If I was aiming a gun at "something", I would damn well be 100% sure it was a deer and NOT A HUMAN BEING. I don't know much about hunting, but it boggles my mind when this kind of thing happens. This is very sad and I will pray for all those involved. To all the hunters out there, please, please be careful. We want you to come home safe & sound.

M the engineer, do you live under a rock, this guy was out enjoying nature believe it or not, and this tragic accident took place. How can you come out and say guns are bad? This is not an intentional homicide. The people that should not have guns are the ones you should try to inlighten. How do you know this guys situation, he could have been out hunting for food for his family because he has no job, or like many has fallen on hard times. Believe it or not, alot of people depend on thier kill each year to sustain their family. So you cannot say that guns are bad. That is just plain insane. Not everyone can just go down to Wegmans and buy steak, some have it rough. Real rough.

True this happens more frequently than it should, but how often are the people impaired when it happens? Its because there are so many people out in the woods that it happens.

when will people realise guns kill and need to be handled in a manner as such,,, pop shots at noises or what they think is a deer, personally i believe someone should be charged with the incident ... perhaps a negligent use of a fire arm charge would be wiser than a murder or homicide charge, since it was an "accident"... but then again if drugd, pills or alcohol was involved,,, a murder charge is in order,,, people need to be more responsible out there n if they cant do it of there own accord then some repurcussions need to happen in these situations rather than just letting it slide because it was an "accident"

Hunters have to go through a 2 day course in gun safety before they get their hunting license.
This shooter only learned how to pull a trigger and that's sad.

Why hasn't Frank Clark deemed him a murderer and raised HIS bail to $350,000? That is what he did for the boy in East Concord. Seems like a double standard.

This is a sad event. I would not rush to judgement. I do make not a call for banning guns or hunting. Very few intoxicated hunters make it out to the woods. This is what is known as an accident folks. We all have them. The important thing is to learn from them. This lesson has been written in blood. I have hunted and I strongly urge all hunters to read the science...Deer have no red-sensitive cone cells in their eyes, so they can't tell red or orange from green and brown.Over the past ten years, 15 New York State big game hunters have been mistaken for deer or bear and killed, and every one of these victims was from that small minority of hunters who did not wear hunter orange. But not even one person who was wearing hunter orange was mistaken for game and killed.
Lives are destroyed and families grieve when accidents like this happen. For the rest of the hunters the sport gets a big black eye. WEAR HUNTER ORANGE!

We better take away all our pleasures, take away the four wheeler because some one might get killed, take away the Ski's, you might hit a tree, take away the boats you might have an accident. Hunting is one of many pleasures and past time Humans enjoy. For anyone who particpates in this sport there are risks. I enjoy hunting and I try to minimize the risks.

Bob O. I have seen m the engineer before he care snothing for people of lower income he is just pushing his personal agenda. He cannot see that some people rely of hunting and gardening as a source of food for their families. And Im sure he would like toi take these people from somewhat modest means and have them plead for a goverment hand out rather than have pride and take care of themselves. With hims its always the gun, the drugs, the baseball bat, the knife its never anybodies fault. I mean were all a bunch of murderers waiting for a gun to show up.
