No Where To Wed

[ch four a little late]

This story broke on ch 2 on friday.Ch 4 did a report on sunday at 6pm.Better late than never i guess.If they keep investigating i bet they will find a lot of people got taken by the lodge.Some people bought gift cards.When did the lodge file for bankcrupcy and when did they stop taking peoples money for gift cards and bookings?All the people who got taken should contact ch 2,ch4,and ch 7.The owner of the lodge should hide in shame.

Good Luck with Banchetti's! I have been there before for a wedding. The food, service and overall experience was HORRIBLE!!!!!!!! There are SO many other great places around Buffalo to have your wedding and I am sure they would accommodate you at the last minute given your situation.

I just want to say that I feel bad for everyone that is lost money because of The Lodge. I use to work there for almost 3 years and I know all about the type of business people that they are. They screwed me too, and I am sure many more people are going to have to pay for their bad business. Good luck to everyone, and I hope you can get your money back.

hi my wedding was suppose to be at the lodge next may and i like everyone else have not heard anything yet from them. I hope Bev's day now goes perfectly you should not have to deal with anymore.

you should try contacting a local firehall, I happen to know last year during a wedding service at the lodge they had a fire and jamison road fire hall took there complete wedding to there hall decorated and allowed useage of there hall all in a moments notice, The couple even got married in the hall, photos with a few fireman and near the trucks what a memory. They dont cater but do have a ladies aux. they may help if asked also there is a bar there and a stage or try marilla fire hall. Secondly and further costs you now face should be paid by the lodge even if they don't pay it tommorrow there future wages should...

I was very shocked to see that the Lodge went out of business. I was married there last year. Although everything went ok I am disappointed that the wedding cordinator did nothing to help the couples maybe find another hall or even call and refund their money back. Maybe they were using the wedding deposits to dig themselves out of a hole. I was impressed at how much the cordinator was willing to do for me but as the time passed and it was getting closer to my wedding date her enthusiasm dwindled and it was very hard to get a hold of her. The day went ok but there were some mixups. She told us she would be there for the whole thing to make sure everything would go according to plan. When I needed her help with something she was to busy at the bar with my guests. We recently went back to celebrate our anniversary there for dinner. The service was terrible, they screwed up my order. Maybe it is a good thing that they did us a favor and closed their doors.

You are the first person that I heard anything negative about Banchetti's and you know what after what I have been through, I don't care if the food isn't that great, so you can keep your opinion to yourself.

I'm sorry to hear what happened to you, it is horrible that we all have to work on getting something else, but like people said I think this is for the best, I have heard nothing good about the lodge and honestly think the owner needs to be held accountable and sued for what has happened.

Dave Urbanski did own the lodge. No sure if it is the same Dave Urbanski that owns The Martygold Manor. It's interesting that the previous owner "Dave Urbanski" would not make arrangements for the people he had scheduled for weddings at the lodge. If you go to the Lodge website it directs you to Marygold Manor. Beware of the Urbanski family and The Marygold Manor!!!!!!!!!!

again, I apologize for the confusion. This clearly shows David Urbanski and The Lodge was in trouble in February 2007.
Hope this helps in any lawsuit.
