We hang petty thieves and appoint the great ones to public office.
~Aesop, Greek slave & fable author

Those who are too smart to engage in politics are punished by being governed by those who are dumber.
~Plato, ancient Greek Philosopher

Politicians are the same all over.

They promise to build a bridge even where there is no river.
~Nikita Khrushchev, Russian Soviet politician

When I was a boy I was told that anybody could become President; I'm beginning to believe it.
~Quoted in 'Clarence Darrow for the Defense' by Irving Stone.

Politicians are people who, when they see light at the end of the tunnel, go out and buy some more tunnel.
~John Quinton, American actor/writer

Politics is the gentle art of getting votes from the poor and campaign funds from the rich, by promising to protect each from the other.
~Oscar Ameringer, "the Mark Twain of American Socialism."

I offered my opponents a deal: "if they stop telling lies about me, I will stop telling the truth about them".
~Adlai Stevenson, campaign speech, 1952..

A politician is a fellow who will lay down your life for his country.
~Texas Guinan. 19th century American businessman

~Charles de Gaulle, French general & politician

Instead of giving a politician the keys to the city, it might be better to change the locks.
~Doug Larson (English middle-distance runner who won gold medals at the 1924
Olympic Games in Paris, 1902-1981)

I am reminded of a joke: What happens if a politician drowns in a river? That is pollution.
What happens if all of them drown? That is solution!!!

Looks like FFS is in your fan club.

Although you are an insincere liberal it is somewhat entertaining that you would post quotes that paint a broadly negative picture of the "politician". Some, who are even further to the left than you, find this information personally insulting, but then again, who cares if they do? Keep up the good work. The far left is so dumb they believe that the politicians really care about them.

Youre not supposed to post them at all!

My motto is...annoy a liberal...use facts and logic!

If it annoys you then I'm happy.

Careful, Neocon. That list of quotes seemed to be equally offensive to both liberals and conservatives. I was glad to see you post something balanced for a change
In general I hate all politicians. From experience I found most of them to be dirty or corrupt or both. The ones to the far left are as bad as the ones to the far right. I myself tend to lean to the right on most issues and far right on a few issues. And once in awhile I'll even vote for a Dem. But NEVER for a far left winger.
Communism, socialism, and liberalism has never worked anywhere it was tried.

Unlike FFS, and others of his ilk, you have a degree of intelligence where you comprehend where I'm coming from...and understand where I'm headed.

Why are you coach, and others defending your positions here? Does it matter what FFS and others think of what you believe? He/she is a lemming who blindly follows a prescribed thought pattern. You two occasionally use your intellectual capacity to make a moral or ethical decision. There is no need to explain yourselves.
FFS is the quintessential narcissist. He is also a pseudo tough guy who claims to be a commissioned officer in the Air Force. Fortunately he wasn't a line officer but assigned to a desk job in the Green Zone for his 5 month tour where he could do minimal damage. With his condescending and arrogant attitude toward underlings he wouldn't have lasted a minute in a real combat zone. His claim to fame is the 3 promotion points he received for being awarded the Air Force Commendation Medal which he got for keeping the A/C running at the BOQ. Without a doubt he has a picture of Obama hanging on his office wall.

HAHHAHAHHHAHAHA, One comment and Neo goes into an FFS induced Tizzy.

Never have. You are one with far too many obsessions and addictions. Guess you can't control them so not that I am blaming you.
