I think the planners of the 2008 Buffalo Gay Pride Parade & Festival did a great job. GLBT people in Western New York should thank these people for their hard work and committment to making this a great day for all who attend.

Funny.. odd..
ALL THE NEGATIVE POSTS WERE REMOVED and only the POSITIVE #7 was allowed to remain.

I'm guessing #8 will be long gone too, shortly!!

What's the matter WIVB??
Don't want to REALIZE that THE OVERWHELMING MAJORITY of BUFFALO does NOT support HOMOSEXUALITY??

IT'S MORALLY WRONG.
You don't have to be Christian or religious to be smart enough to figure out IT'S JUST PLAIN WRONG.

Talk about CENSORSHIP! You people allow all the racism on here.. but we stand up for the common family and you people remove all the posts! Did you think we'd all celebrate with you and join the parade??
THERE is NOTHING prideful about DEVIANT DESTRUCTIVE SEXUAL PERVERSIONS.
It's just wrong.
and removing the POSTS that do NOT support your AGENDA is wrong.

It is immoral and it is being prefferred by media and pushed on society and our youth.

It can NEVER be sanitized. God made us and ordered us to live a holy and wholesome life.

I agree with Question, when he said that it is deviant.

I refuse to give up MY RIGHT OF FREE SPEECH to be silenced on behalf of homosexuals and media support.

It will not take over the Christian Way of Life: virtue. marriage between a man and woman, abstinence outside of marriage, and all forms of purity and chastity.

The devil will not win. Christians will not allow their free speech to be taken away.

The difference here is that God asks us to love and come to Him and His ways voluntarily; the devil coerces and forces us to be sinful and bow to him.

The choice is clear.

Ah, you homophobics are the sadest bunch of them all. Qouting your Bible and supposed Christian way of life is such hypocrisy. YOU are actually the sick and demented ones for fostering hate thru your religous rantings.
You don't have to embrace the lifestyle, as many of us don't, but if you have an ounce of compassion as most of us do, you except it and continue on with your life and let those 'different' than you enjoy theirs also.
Til then

"Christians"? "Religious"? Is this what you are calling yourselves? If you truly were then the teaching of the church maybe should have sunk in when you were NOT to judge others. And it's not just the judgement of gays and lesbians that really is getting horrible. Everything is being judged. If a kid dresses in all black something is wrong with him, if a person has tattoos or piercings or both they are judged. If they happen to have found TRUE love with a member of the same sex, they are judged, and yet WIVB allows freedom of speak so that you have the ability to freely and openly do something that your God has already stated as WRONG and that if you judge others you will be judged. What happened to LOVE thy NIEGHBOR?! I can only hope that every one of you people have a (gay, lesbian, gothic, tattooed, pierced, etc) child one day that will teach you how to love with an OPEN heart since your religion hasn't.
There is only one true judge and we will all stand before him when the time comes. I'll wait for judgement til then.

But it is none of your business. If it is a sin then it is their sin to make. They are not doing anything to you, so leave them alone. By the way I am SSSOOO not gay, but I don't like to judge people because I am FAR from perfect.

Mine was removed. Oh well, censoreship at its finest. We all know there are gay people out there and we are aware, lets keep it to yourselves folks, Same with Black History month, Who cares and who needs a whole month of it and every street named after MLK.
I'm getting confused. Is that MLK ave, st, way, parkway, drive, thruway, expressway, toll road, ummmmmmmmm?

EXACTLY!
but if WE did it, and Called it JUST THAT, we'd all be arrested for a HATE crime.
We'd all get SUED for not being INCLUSIVE!

It's not about being homophobic, it's about standing up for what defines a marriage, family, etc.
Why should people be granted the same special protection and civil rights bases on their SEXUAL preference? This TOTALLY demeans REAL minorities who are trying to better themselves.

Also, it's about CENSORSHIP. ALL THE NEGATIVE POSTS WERE removed! Yet people on here are so racist it's scary to read!

You're right to that person, what two CONSENTING adults do in their own home is their business, even if I don't agree with it. However, it doesn't give them special rights!!

All the anti-gay posts were removed mostly because people can not express there opinion in a civilized polite manner.

Second, seriously guys, grow up and be mature. If you want to get Christian, I can pull out a 100 verses where Jesus loved people no matter what they did: stole, cheated on their spouses, BETRAYED HIM 3 TIMES, and yet he forgave and loved them all. If he can forgive Peter for making him die on a cross, I think he can forgive two people who love each other and care about each other deeply...oh wait what is there to forgive?

umm to the people who think it's a good idea to have a heterosexual parade, wake up. you are not an oppressed group. heterosexuality has never been a tabu topic or way of living so by all means...if you want to have a parade to celebrate yourselves...by all means...try and organize it. open you eyes. gay pride and events similar to these are to break through stereotypes and oppression. if you can't understand that, then don't judge those who openly support and defend who they are against the odds and people like you. you people really make me sick and just need to know that no matter what orientation and identity people are, we are all just people and all want to be happy. look up the meaning of diversity. it's a good thing.

Since when did Peter make Jesus die on a cross??? You are correct when He forgave the sinners who asked to be forgiven or healed when they asked this of Him. He also said go and sin no more!

I could care less if someone is GAY! It is not against any religion, because it is not a choice, but a genetic or hormonal flaw! You people are not the judge anyone in this present existence..so you need to just live your own imperfect lives, the best you can! I am not gay, as a matter of fact..very mucht he opposite.....I just don't mind anyone who is not violent!

Wibv, removes comments that are tagged abuse by someone and reviews them. If they prove to be non-abusive, they return them to the site. Sometimes if it involves a sensitive issue relative to a government agency, they replace them weeks later, when it enters the rolling forum , when it is numbered in the hundreds. Trust me...I have experienced their methods!

How do you know the "overwheming majority" of people in Buffalo do not support the gay community? Or is it just you high and mighty bigoted circle? Don't speak for the majority unless you have the proper documentation to back such a statement up.

15 thousand is a lot! I'm straight but I think it's wonderful that many people showed up to support them. I don't care what people do in their sexual life as long as it doesn't involve unwanted harm. And I think you guys shouldn't care either!

Well - it appears by the massive amounts of hate speech, vile displays of 'christianity', random acts of hatred on this one little message board - underlines the fact that we do need to have our one day to celebrate. We are celebrating the first day we stood up to being beaten, spit upon, killed, called names, etc. I think most of you that left a hateful message on here and have no doubt you would rather have a dead child than a gay, lesbian, bi-sexual or transgendered child. YOU are the person I don't want my kids around. YOU are the person I do not want to be my neighbor. YOU are the people my parents warned me about ....

Nobody is fooled by your lame attempt at impersonating James Z from Kaisertown.

Homosexuality is destructive to healthy family and national life, as noted by Patrick Buchanan in my first post.

The Christian Holy Bible and the Jewish Torah condemn homosexuality and those who practice it.

Whats the world coming to? NYS is letting them get married, now it looks like Buffalo is supporting them, hey channel 4 you must be running out of events to film, I know of many charity events that are more worthy then a gay parade that just get passed over or ignored.
