High test scores doesn't mean the teachers or schools are any better than the lower test scoring schools. It just means they have kids from better backgrounds. Not all parents make sure homework is done, make sure their kids to go school everyday, or even stress the importance of an education. Some just send them to get rid of them for a few hours. I know, I used to work in one of those schools.

right, it is very difficult to seize the attention of most young people today. But, because it is urgent that we do so, we have to work very hard to make it happen. We have to use innovative technology to turn them on to the learning process...

We also need parents to make sure homework is done and to encourage. So many of the kids have no academic support at home.
