How can he be so stupid. If he can't drive on a road with perfectly clear conditions then he shouldn't be driving at all. Ice Road Truckers go through more crap than this guy probably goes through in two lifetimes. What a dumbass.

My brother and his friend were at the scene of the accident when the tractor trailer veered in front of the two of them this morning. They said the never saw anything so horiffic.i get a call from them crying in shock that the truck was inches from hitting them and went into the woods. before they could see if the man was ok, the truck bursted into flames. we thank god that our family is ok. this shows that we all need to live our lives to the fullest. You never know what u could wake up to and hear that someone in ur familly could be hurt. Our prayers are going out to the gentelmins family.

Oh, and by the way, WGRZ - great photo to accompany the story so far (as of 10Am). A wonderful shot of... the grass. That helps move the story along.

What probably happened was, that the driver had a heart attack just before the crash. If the driver did not die from the heart attack, or the various impacts along the crash route, than the fire that occured following the crash did. I would also like to send my condolences to the family of the driver

Accidents happen a**hole...even on "Ice Road Truckers" (yeah I watch the show too.). Hope you never find yourself or a family member involved in an accident...

CrocHunter - you are cold, hartless and ignorant. A man died in a tragic accident. It could have been you or one of your loved ones.

CrocHunter must like negative attention - let's not discuss his obnoxious outrageous comments and focus on the incident.

I live very close to that area - does anyone know where specifically the crash happened?

I have 2 family members who are over the road truck drivers and this is our worst fear; getting that unfortunate phone call. It isn't always the road conditions, there are other issues such as driver fatigue, other drivers who like to scoot in and out of lanes to pass the semi. How ironic that we've totally forgotten about that other horiific accident a few weeks ago when teens texting in an SUV had a head on crash with a semi.

Perhaps "Mr. Elephant," you should learn how to spell your own name before posting your ridiculous comments.

I knew before I even clicked on this forum that someone would have a comment like this. I hope that doesn't make me just as bad. It's amazing how these forums bring out the most ignorant people. This is a tragedy for this man's family and people continue to make jokes. God bless his family, and God bless us all.

I'm aware of the tragedy, being an EMT and seeing the worst people can do to themselves and society. Humor is a wonderful thing. You should try it some time.
