Diz used to beat the shit out of his first wife, too; I saw her one time with a shiner that would have put Mike Tyson in the hospital; bruises all over her face. Everybody knew it, but did NOTHING! Why? Oh, that's OK, he's a "good guy, one of us," which is BS!! He's is an A-hole, and was only acceptable because he was in the NYSP, THE finest LE's in the country, and I have respect for all of these fine men. But, when you get a "bad apple" it needs to be tossed; NOBODY can abuse women, NOBODY...I don't care who the hell he is. He should be placed in Jail, and he will probably serve maybe 3 years...time will tell.

I new Dave and the 1st wife for many years back then, she was a hot blooded Italian psyco who never got past the 'throwing things' stage. If she ever had bruises (and I never saw her with bruises) you can bet that Dave got the worst of it.

True and they would have been noticed at her profession as she was a nurse!

He is a scum who killed a innocent women leaving a family to grieve and some say he had a low BAC, then he could have taken some prescribed medications which can alter a persons driving ability as the same way as alcohol can!

He deserves everything he receives and he's probably in a cozy cell away from the regular inmates because he was a drug enforcement officer in the NYSP. Phew...

Can he ever car a gun now that he was convicted or vote?

Did they stop his pension or social security?

What a flucking looser, he should communicate with all the idiots who have childish behavior problems as part of this forum!

All you doper cop haters know the headlines, now here's the rest of the story... This investigator was forced to retire via politics. As a good investigator, he continued to work, only now for defense attorneys. This highly frustrated his former superiors, not to mention the local D.A.'s office.
The night of the terrible accident, he had been up for over 27 hours straight, between his daughter being rushed to a Buffalo hospital, and helping out at a local charitable fundraiser. Yes, hindsight now tells us that he should have called in to work.
He has always claimed that he was not intoxicated. During the trial, it was argued that the BAC test was not administered in a timely manner as prescribed by the DWI law. This alone in many cases has led to charges dropped. Instead, the aforementioned frustrated prosecution, went to extraordinary lengths, to bring in professional witnesses, with bizarre new procedures to determine BAC after the fact... Now, I know, that all the haters out there will scream "he's a cop, he's got to be guilty!" and there were certainly some of these attitudes on the jury as well.
So the whole point here is that there is a lot of background politics going on, a lot of 'civilian' defendants would've never been convicted under these circumstances. The prosecution would've never sought out such extreme measures for the 'average Joe'. Now, the man has served time in prison, and is out, at least for a while. Although he will ever be, as with the other families involved, haunted by that horrible accident...

Too many cops, too many laws. You don't have to be a 'doper' to dislike police. Wait til a cop fails to help you or charges you with something you are not guilty of and see how you feel about them then. I work hard for my money to support my family and I don't appreciate it when I'm forced to pay redundant fees just so some a-hole can write another ticket. 90% of officers are arrogant hippocrates we could do without.

I wanted to go along but the camper was at its maximum vehicle weight.
CindyBird, 40 cartons of Indian cigarettes, 30 cases of Natty Light, several dozen bags of potato chips, 100 pounds of cat food and a half ton of elephant chow left little accommodation for me.

I relish spending time with that pair in their back yard where I can enjoy the sight junk cars, the aroma of cat poop and Wally's banter as he converses on his ham radio.

Also enjoyable is the pleasant sound created by CindyBird's ample thighs as they chafe and grate when she ambles about that junk strewn yard.
