Just take a look in WNY JOBS March 27 2014 edition look at all the vacant positions at Southeast Works. They have been looking for a behaivor specialist for how long. MSC dept down several people. Now hiring only part-time drivers. What does all this tell. The quality of people they hire pretty shameful. I know this will offend some people but the young african americans they hire in residential for the most part don't pan out. The state should examine all Depts at the place to see what can be done to change things. There are some in leadership who should not be there as some people just don't have it in them to lead. In SEMP the management take the contract work for granted and think it will always be there most everything there is half-baked then again that comes back to leadership. I know these voices on this thread don't mean much but hopefully the right people will read this.

I know the place is flagged with the justice department. a few reasons?resident's neck is broke , another ignored all weekend after vomiting brown and now in a coma and one who died because upper management refused to permit a safe care plan( again directors and coordinators trying to play nurses) and forcing aides to use a hoyer to lift him after a fall without first having him accessed by QUALIFIED medical staff,So much is NOT reported. The therap logs disappear. Obviously people, upper management, do not care about the people they are suppose to be serving.

Yeah totally agree Ken Levans only concern in SEMP is that consumers come to work twice a month so he can bill medicaid . He Doesn't really care about how the job is done. That department is going downhill but as long as people are half-baked the crap will continue little or no training of consumers . Look who's in charge.

Can we all get off the love boat for Super Sleuth Dick Perry? First, a few things about Dick...

Dick received a write up from Pam based on a question he asked her. Instead of being a man and taking it he decided he would be a sleuth and throw a temper tantrum on her by bringing all this California stuff forward.(notice there have been no indictments yet) Then (unbelievable!) makes photocopies (while on work time) of articles about Pam on Southeast copiers with Southeast paper. He then dispersed them throughout the building. Hmmm, Super Sleuth Dick Perry, that's stealing company time, and using Medicaid paid supplies for your own use. Maybe you should be investigated! At least for being a moron! What did you expect would happen? At least do that on your own time and not with Southeast paper and copiers!!

How do I know this? Big mouth Lani Churley. She stated this several times at meetings. You want to really know who is bringing the agency down? Go after her.

Lani is NOT the only one bringing the agency down. Michelle needs to go too! Along with anyone else who no longer has the "mind set" work ethic that the agency was built on. If you remove some of the self absorbed/I am queen" players the others may come out of the spell and return to normal. Maybe, maybe not. Their heads are so far of the other arses, I dont know if they can think for themselves anymore. Let me hit the replay button one last time on 2012 . Whether you think the slueth(Mr.Perry) as shaking my head calls him is liked or hated it does not matter. Southeast is a better place because of him. Was he a bit zealous/over the top? with his actions Yeah . They were looking for a reason to dump him for one he was on FMLA . He was also vocal in the department .He brought common sense ideas to improving the SEMP dept that was not welcomed by his supervisor. The bottom line is they wanted him gone. Lets just say he made the companies higher ups look bad on Aug 6th 2012 which was deserved THAT IS WHY HE WAS TERMINATED!! His suspicions about Pam were right she was un-ethical read the article about her.

SEW boasts the most ethical agency, but those of us that work there know better.

Michelle is so full of herself and when her department takes a dive which is coming she will blame someone else. She should have been walked out with Pam.

thats why they hired an assistant residential director. It should read ASSistant because incompetent Michelle needs to pass the buck onto someone else to make herself look good. She's horrible. Her voice is like nails on a chalkboard and I hate when she comes to residential meetings.

I've talked to so many people in residential and no one is really happy with their job. We enjoy working with the individuals but that's about it. We feel like we never do anything right, orders and new directions are being given weekly and staff bust their ass to get tasks completed and certain coordinators never say thank you for anything. Is it hard to do that?
Never mind that direct care isn't paid what their worth. We deal with the behaviors, the medications, the cooking cleaning transportation rec outings etc.
a simple thank you is warranted from time to time.

You also have to understand in residential the bad staffs actions overshadow the good work of those staff who do their jobs.It is a shame . Without residential Southeast Work will have great financial dificulty and that could be coming as residential is on the States radar of being a problem child. The quality of staff they hire is terrible. Southeast Works is a stagnant agency on the decline and in a freefall. Good Luck.

michele needs to go. She doesn't know what's she's doing. I guess nobody will make a move until she runs the place into the ground. She's either crying or blaming others for her mistakes. Wake up board of directors.

Why is there rumors about people inc taking over? It's not one person I hear it from everyone's curious! All the coordinators I guess jumped ship. We might have 1 nurse. Not sure what is going on. Several managers are leaving/ want to leave. What is going on?

All CEO'S / Executive Directors at all larger companies/corporations are overpaid especially Mr. Boles in Human Services but someone / board of directors agree to his salary and fringes. Does he share the wealth? People Inc employees get that end of year bonus/payment most agencies give you nothing. I would rather get end of year bonus than the 3% which amounts to what 20-25 cents per hour on average that's all eaten up in taxes so you get nothing.

Now Ms. Hayes has to "work" for her money! She has to pay for her own gasoline,her own credit cards, her own internet, cell phone bill, her own medical premium, etc. KARMA is a bitch. I could bet you she hates all those pretty, rich, married Orange County women that she has to come across with. She hated everyone, even herself! SEW residential is in trouble and EVERYBODY knows it. When is Tim and the board of directors going to wake up and get Michelle smith out of there? I'm not saying she's not a nice person but she DOES NOT know what she's doing. She cries, begs people who try to resign to stay. I will be resigning right after my vacation. Give this agency back to the parents.
