Well LIFE first of all the post was ment for people that have an I.Q. higher then you have.
IF you want me to put it in the simplest 3 or 4 letter words I will try to do what I can, and then maybe you will understand it.
Life I will try to make this as simple[ that is sim ple ] as I can,
You always [ all ways] say I don't know you but I know your kind.
I can not put it in any smaller words, IF you do not understand [ under stand] that, I do not know what we can do,
I will try to keep everything [ every - thing] down to 3, 4 or 5 letter words so you will be able to understand[ under stand]
I am sorry that I have been using too big of words that you did not understand [ under - stand] I will not do that from now on.
You just let me know if the words are too big for you to understand[ under stand]

Have a good night.

Here is a four-letter word that you MISUSED in your first sentence- "then". You should have written "than". Do not try to claim it was a typo.

Next time you try to insult my IQ, try not making yourself sound like an idiot during the attempt

Tbird...

Your explanation for (mis)using "then" was incorrect.

"then," meaning as it appears, is used as a way of summing up

Example: The cause of the accident, then, is established.

Here is something that should help you...
"Then" vs. "Than"

"Then" is used to indicate a time line, putting things in a certain order.

Example: "First I put on my seat belt, then I start the car's engine."

"Than" is used to compare two things.

Example: In the summer it is warmer than in the winter.

Or, because you are comparing Life Coach with other people:

The post was ment(sic) for people that have an I.Q. higher THAN you have.

"Then" was used in a sense [ Webster's II Dictionary" normal ability to think or reason"]that it APPEARS that most people out here have an IQ higher than his.
So I would have to ask, could not " then" have been used in that content?
Good night.

P.S. Maybe you and Life should stop being such " sticks in the mud" and start thinking out side the box once in awhile.
Many words have many meanings, and before you say it is only one way and that is it you should look the word up in a Dictionary and a Thesaurus and see what some of the other ways it can be used are.
In one sentence it could mean one thing and in another sentence it would mean something else.
Have a nice night.

Tbird,

Respectfully, I did check your source. Yes, many words have many different meanings. However, just because you see a phrase that seems to "fit" your meaning does not make it correct. Your use of the word, in that context, was meant to COMPARE. Even though you wished to express something about "it seems," or "it appears," that many people are more intelligent THAN Life Coach, the correct word is THAN. It's the same thing that happened when you tried to convince us that driving "bands" was a correct term because you saw in the definition that a "band" can be a physical restraint. The correct term is driving "ban"

As far as being a stick in the mud...Life Coach makes a valid point. If you are going to insult his intelligence, you should really try not to make these grammatical errors because it will ultimately end up backfiring on you.
