Three times I've gone in the local Consumer Beverage and bought beer and the price is higher than the price on the shelf.
Make sure you get a receipt from these goofs. They usually charge you and throw away the receipt while you walk away.
Make them give you the receipt and always check the price!!!!

They tried to rip me off on 12 packs of pepsi. Said $3 each on the floor but rang up for like $6 each. Be careful.

Hey thats happened to me as well!!! TWICE I've gone into the Lancaster Consumers on Como and I'll buy some beer and they'll throw the receipt in the garbage. I've always asked them to fish it out to give to me. I'm thinking they are knowingly ripping people off. I'm going to TOPS / WEGMANS from now on.!!

Thats funny!! cuz I just bought some beer the other day in the Lancaster Como store and the shelf price said 7.49 and he charged me 7.99 and I had to ask for the receipt. I thought it was a little high and had to go back in there. He just gave me the 50 cents and no apology. I wonder if this happens at the other Consumers???

Consumers sucks. Their beer is usually stale and expired too.

You knuckleheads need to consider the deposit that is not part of the list price.

As a beer lover i like going in there but not when i'm surrounded by either lazy workers that don't change the prices or its dishonesty. So you're right i'm going to either Tops or WEgmans!! its a shame though..if word gets out about them cheatin on the receipts...they'll lose business for sure!!

We've got some good green hat ideas here. Check out Tops/Wegmans and stop purchasing from Consumers. When demand dries up, they'll lower prices even further.

But they won't lower the prices in the system.. you'll think you're getting a good price but unless you get the receipt to prove it those shysters on como park will take advantage of it. I'm through .. Tops / Wegmans it is!! Get the shout out!

Consumer's often has two-for-one specials on beer. The 1812 Amber was a recent example. I can't recall Tops having a two for one special. Sooo... No "bonus card" to track my alcohol consumption. And no clerk proofing a 45 year old man, punching in his driver's license number into the computer...
I don't like being tracked. What I drink, and how much, is MY business.

The register has a screen showing the price. Say something when you see it's wrong. It's a inconvenience, but considering it's as much as 1/2 off, it's worth it to me.

This is Gomer from Consumer Beverage. We decided to charge whatever we want, and see how many goofs we could trap. How are we doing?
