whispers of rats running in the kitchen... health violations.. THEN the fire..you're right.. and the owner just sold it off... historically it was a place that the trains would stop in the early 1900 to get food / libation and stayovers?...sketchy on that part.. but I had good times there when I went as I assume you did too ..

Wouldn't it be nice to go back in time. I still say that Aurther Treachers had one of the best battered fish and chicken fillets. Did you mean Gold Circle in the old Eckerds Plaza. Too bad they got rid of the rollerskating rink where the now Factory Outlet Mall exists.
I wonder if they'll ever re-develope the Summit Park Mall. It would be nice to have a JcPenneys where the old Jenss used to be. If we could only have a World Market or a Ross's clothing store in the empty Wal-Mart store or something similiar to a Media Play which I could never understand why they got rid of it to begin with. Why not put a flea market where the old Gold Circle Plaza used to be. Why, why couldn't I be the winner of the 330 million jackpot so I too could invest in some properties here in WNY.

Whatever happened to...... Shane-Brother-Shane.....WGR radio 55 when there was such a thing as Rock-N-Roll, as a matter of fact, what happened to Rock-N-Roll?????
Shane is living in Richmond, Virginia selling cars under his real name. He was last heard in 1999 on WHTT on Their Rock and Roll Reunion. I heard this last in Nov. 2009 on WYRK from their DJ Brett Alan on a call with him. Yeah, I think Rock and roll is dead, but we remnember these good old days of Shane Brother Shane! I'm the fan who wrote the popular poem The Cosmic cowboy! It seems like many fans loved Shane playing the best rock and roll which is why you think of what happened to rock and roll. To remember, Rock and Roll is here to stay. This tells me that Shane played the best rock and roll in Buffalo, NY! I loved it as well. This year Shane is being inducted into the Buffalo Broadcaster's Hall of Fame in Sept. 2011!!! I loved hearing him on GR 55!!! He was my most favorite DJ Years ago!!! Well.. there's your answer, but you can hear those memories of him on the internet on several things such as the Rock Radio scrapbook, The Buffalo Broadcasters, and Steve Cichon's staff announcer.com . Check this out. You think the music died? I don't think so but you can catch the great memories of Shane of this!

Hey! I'm talking about Shane! On July 20, 2011, I heard him talking to WYRK Evening DJ Brett Alan! Shane reported he is doing alright. He is still living in Richmond, Virginia! I just heard he asked Brett to play a dedication to me of a country song he thought I might like called Just A Kiss by Lady Antebellum, their newest hit! I heard it and loved it! Thanks! Days later I saw that video on my computer! I love ir!!! Shane is full of surprises! Even though he's no longer on the air anymore, he still has that deep compassion for the fans here in Buffalo-many are his Best Friends like me! He keeps a check on the fans through Buffalo Radio station WYRK with Brett Alan!!! What he did came from his heart-his love and friendship to all who listened!!! But he still does that today! Reaching out to others! Thanks to Brett and WYRK for letting him do that! Today, Shane is still surprising his fans requesting dedications and asking about them. I'm one of them and it's great to hear it! It's great to hear about him these days on WYRK from their DJS like Brett Alan, Craig Matthews and Pete Hauseman!!! I remember Shane was part of a great superb line-up of DJS at WGR in the mid-1970's. Does anyone remember who those DJS are? I do! The DJS were: 1. Stan Roberts, 2. Larry Anderson, 3. Frank Benny and 4. Tom Donahue! WGR was also the number 1 station in 1977!!! We were lucky to have these great guys playing on Buffalo Radio!!! However many fans think rock and roll died because Shane played the Best Rock and Roll Music! But it's really here to stay! I remember that theme-one of my most favorite radio station themes is "GR 55 Gives You Just A Little Bit More" written by Larry Anderson! This song reminds me of their DJS today!!! I play it on my keyboards as an honor and tribute to these great DJS today! We were lucky to have these great DJS playing and many people loved them!!!
