I wasn't even laid off long enough to collect unemployment. sorry to tell you life I have never got an unemployment check in my life.[ besides I couldn't back then I owned my own co. on the side and couldn't get it if I wanted to.] See life YOU may think you know something , BUT for a fact you don't know s--t. As I said the people I started with were laid off in early 1970, and again in mid 1973, both times I was in the service, and we were on the border line for awhile in the late 70's but we never got laid off. So AGAIN you open your mouth and spew out s--t and just show people out here that you are the biggest a-- on the web. As I said I was there I went through it, and I have never got unemployment in my life. Sorry your wrong AGAIN as always, have a great night. P.S. one more thing LIFE just for your info NOBODY with 25 years seniority ever got laid off in the 38.5 years I worked there unless it was on an inverse lay off. Even in the 70's, remember in 1972 ford hired the most people they ever did at one time, even more then what they did when they opened the stamping plant. so in the late 70's they did get back to people with 1972 seniority but not much more then that. So AGAIN you open your mouth with out knowing what the he-- your talking about. Good night.

Funny, I went to the Ford website ( www.ford.com ) and there was no mention of the history of layoffs within the Ford organization. However, I did not dig very deep. Why don't you provide a link to the page detailing your claim and proving your allegations? It's easy to do, just copy and paste. Then there would be no controversy regarding them.

More than likely if a UAW worker with 20+ years was laid-off it was by their choice. In other words they volunteered. Because they’d receive almost all (95%) of their pay while not having to show up for work. So when they went to go lay people off, they start asking the people with the most seniority first if they WANT to get laid-off… then, without enough volunteers, they just mandate it on the lowest seniority people.

So when they went to go lay people off, they start asking the people with the most seniority first if they WANT to get laid-off… then, without enough volunteers, they just mandate it on the lowest seniority people. For Lifes info, Buffalo stamping plant of ford motor co, opened in 1950 with a skeleton crew,[ infact the building wasn't even done yet] They hired alot more people in 1952 about the 2nd biggest hiring year in the plants history, They added on to the plant in the 60's and hired, then the largest addition to the plant was in 1971 and biggest hiring year was 1972. So life I don't remember if we had the inverse yet or not, but if people with 25 years seniority were getting laid off it had to be on " inverse layoff" In the late 1970 there was over 6,000 people working there and people with 25 years seniority would have had 1953/54 seniority. As I said I was working there and if it happened it had to have been an inverse layoff.. Have a nice day.

I really could not tell you, But I know I at one time I walked from one end to the other 5 or 6 times aday, I would guess almost 1/2 mile long and about 1/3 of a mile wide, If not more. It is FORDS biggest stamping plant, and for years it was the most productive, but over the last few years Ford is getting rid of their stamping plants and moving the presses into or near the assembly plants. So I really don't see this plant staying open for more then another 6 to 10 years. At one time Buffalo stamping made parts for every assembly plant ford had, now they are down to a few , most parts go to Can., St. Tom, and Oakville. Sorry I can't give you an asn. to that to the foot , this is the best I can do, Have a good night.

Jean wrote: What a strange topic. It's called trolling and the guy from Toledo is one of the most boring ones on the web. You can do the same. All you need is: 1) A low IQ. Not too low because you need to be smart enough to get on-line. 2) Not much of a life away from your computer. 3) Lots and lots of free time (see number 2). 4) A childlike sense of humor. If you thought "Jerky Boys" was funny, you're on the right track. 5) The ability to type the same thing over and over and over and over and over and over. With the Toledo Boy it's, "Buffalo sucks, hee hee! Buffalo sucks, hee hee!, Buffalo sucks, hee hee!" Get the picture?

Another perfect example is Robert Laity: 1) He has typed, "Obama Sucks" almost 19,000 times in just over a year.(types the same thing over and over and over and over...) 2) Spent his entire life doing something menial - a janitor. 3) With 19,000 (count 'em, 19,000) post in a year, he clearly has no life outside of trolling. 4) Not the sharpest tool in the shed, but smart enough to get on-line (see reason number 1... or 2... or 3).

EXCELLENT!! These are two great examples of TROLLS here on Topix, Buffalo,NY.
The TROLL from Ohio and Robert Laity are extremely similar in their troll behaviors.
Life Coach also displays these traits as a TROLL. He used to be witty and at times funny. Now he is just a nasty bully who gets his jollies out of tormenting Tbird...not that Tbird isn't just as guilty...he has been advised by many to ignore LC. Tbird will never have what it takes to take on Life Coach.
