Life you will never know for sure if any volunteer fire fighters died at ground zero.
But for your info it was VOLUNTEER FIRE DEPT.S FROM WESTCHESTER cO, Nassau CO and Suffolk Co that moved up and took over the fire fighting responsibilities of the 400 NYFd co.s who were at ground zero fighting that fire.
Look it up it is fact.
The same thing would and has happened here.
I have seen West Seneca go into the city to fight a fire because the Buffalo FD was busy with other fires.
Have a nice day

I couldn't go to NY to fight the fires on 9/11 cause I was disabled at the time due to a TORN ACLU.

Zero? It is a lot safer to say that 100% of the firemen that died on 9/112001 (due to the terrorist attacks) volunteered to go in to those buildings. What idiot came up with this poll anyway?

Actually, they followed orders and went in there. If they had refused, they would have been disciplined-maybe even fired

I know you like to claim many paid firemen are also vollys in their individual villages, and that may be true. They are motivated to do so for booze, free hall rentals and tax deductions. I do not consider them to be vollys, and they all look down on the real vollys

Just look above the # of votes at the top of the poll and you will see who the IDIOT was that made this stupid poll.
The same person that makes up all the polls about Volunteer firefighters.
The same person that has no respect for the people that may someday save his pitiful, pathetic life, like the volunteer firefighters, the EMTs and the LPNs.
And I see we have a new LIFEISM.
Life what is a VOUNTEER?
Have a nice evening.

You are incorrect to the point that going into a burning building is not required or forced. Your statement is entirely false and is comparable to saying that a policeman would have to charge a heavily fortified location to disarm a criminal. You can not punish a fireman for not going into a burning building. Why you may wonder? It is the same as asking someone to commit suicide.

Going into a burning building to rescue people is an act of heroism. Heroism is an intrinsically voluntary concept.

LIFE I have to ask you HOW do you know just what Volunteer firefighters do?
You have never been one, you have never done anything even related to firefighting, Just sit on your dads lap and listen to him bad mouth the volunteer firefighters while your father was out either delivering milk or being a volunteer firefighter.
YOU have never gone on a fire call or a first aid/ EMT rescue call.
Have you ever got up at 2AM in the morning in the middle of winter in a snowstorm to go put out a fire at somebodies house you didn't even know?
Have you gone on first aid /EMT/ rescue calls where you had to pull some body out of a car wreck?
How abour a water rescue call where you pulled a 12 year old girl out of the water at 12.30 or 1 AM and did CPR on her and saved her life?
She has now got 2 fine young grandchildren.
Have you gone on a call and pull a person out of a car and do everything you have been trained to do and have them die on you on the way to the Hosp.?
It can really get to you, because even though they are dead you keep working and working on them , you keep doing everything you were trained to do then you get to the Hosp. and you take them in and the DR comes out and tells you they died 10 min. before you got them to the hosp.
LIFE that is just some of the things Volunteer firefighters go through.
Like I said YOU don't know s--t about what a volunteer firefighter does.
Just remember someday it just may be one of the Volunteer firefighters you keep bad mouthing that will save your life.
Until you know Just what a volunteer firefighter does you should keep your mouth shut.

Well you keep on telling everybody just what volunteer firefighters do and YET you say you have never been a volunteer or paid firefighter?
How is it you are an expert on volunteer firefighters when you have never been one.
Are you telling us that you just run your mouth off and don't know a thing about being a firefighter?
See unlike you, I have done these things and have firsthand experience so I know and can tell you what it is like to do these things, I am not just running my mouth off about something I know nothing about like you are.
And MY point to you is that if you have never done these things firsthand, never put out a fire, never pulled somebody from a car wreck, never have been on a water rescue you will never know what it is like.
How can you sit there and tell everybody out here what a volunteer firefighter does or what they have to do to be a volunteer firefighter, What training they have and the hours they put in to keep the trucks and equip. in working order, you can't because you have never done it.
So you are telling us that you just sit there and talk out your backside.
Remember 87% of ALL fire depts are volunteer

Well you have to remember that LIFE COACH is the one that said that and he has an IQ one tenth of what yours is.[ if it is that high]
And it has been almost two years since I asked him to show us were the FBI has said this and HE can't come up with a website that works yet.
I guess that is because it is all a lie
So go to bed and don't listen to LIFE COACH.
Have a nice night
