The problem is that you only want to burn when others want to keep their windows open. Feel free to burn all winter long and nobody will complain. But during hot summer nights people want to keep their windows open and the smoke and smell from your fire pit enters their home. You would complain if I walked around your house blowing cigar smoke in your windows or if I swung a spraying skunk around your house when you had your windows open. The burners are in the wrong on this issue. Campfires are not meant for the city.

I agree, there is someone on the next street over right now with a smoldering fire going. Of course they never burn when the smoke will go into their house but do not care about others. A good hot well burned fire with dry wood makes little smoke and it dissipates quickly. People however burn everything they can and the smoke hangs low to enter your home and make it stink.

There is a push on right now to ban smoking in public places. If that passes there will be no excuse to continue outdoor fire pit burning. The only reason outdoor fire pits ever became a problem is that they started selling them at Lowes and Home Depot. Before that almost nobody ever had out door fires in the city other than burning garbage on certain days.

NEXT comes ban the canal.
It has putrid water & stinks.
The boats have diesels & they produce putrid fumes.
Then there is the traffic problem the canal visitors cause.
##rew the idea of banning outdoor fire pits.
