Does anyone besides myself agree that ALL people should be required to have a passport to go into and out of Canada and Mexico. They are International borders for Gods Sake ! In these days of terrorism, drugs, guns and whatever should we all not support more protection. If you have the funds to vacation and /or day trip to these spots then you can afford a passport. As for the Canadians most of them hate us and do not want us there anyway. We should send our money !!!

I couldn't disagree more with you!! The government isn't concerned about more protection, they want more money! When you pull up to a border check station, your liscence plate has already been run for a background check. Next you give them your drivers liscence which will give them all the information they need on you! So why the need for a passport? I agree with you that the safety and security of our country is of great concern, but what does a passport really do to protect us, after all, EVERY 911 highjacker had a valid passport!!

It's only going to hurt business on both sides of the border. When I lived in Buffalo we went back and forth over the border all the time. How sad that won't be possible for most people if they have to have a passport.

Again I will say " If you have money to spend in Canada rather than the USA then you can afford a passport !Spend your dollars where people appreciate it intead of where you are disliked or hated.

Sorry I don't agree and no one in Canada has ever made me feel like they hated us, maybe it's your attitude. There are a lot of family things there. Most families can't afford for everyone to have a passport. It's not expensive to go there. Get over your Canadian prejudice.

It's pretty easy to get a false passport if you have the money. You're right it's the governments way of generating more money.

No prejudice just reality. The Canadian government even complains that Americans know nothing about Canada. Its leaders, its capitol, its laws , etc. They then go on to say how we treat their Country as our own.People in Montreal dislike Canadians and Canadians dislike Americans. Prejudice. NO. Sometimes even people with persecution complexes are being persecuted !!!

Well seriously we are kind of sheltered in the US anyway. Most of us don't know anything about other countries or the people in them. I have never on a personal level felt like Canadians disliked Americans. Wow, I even have Canadian friends

Canadian friends do not count as they judge you by whom they know you to be. Not who they think you are .

You are unable to write understandable remarks and then you resort to name calling ! I thought I was corresponding with a civilized person. I guess I am wrong again ! I would imagine the area where you lived in Buffalo became a more polite area when you moved.

Name calling is always a very respectable and polite response to an honest mistake to an unintelligible comment. This must be the attitude you learned in Illinois. The area you left in Buffalo surely benifited from your departure. Buffalos' gain is Illinois loss !

I do apologize. I was having a bad day and guess I took it out on you. I still think your attitude is archaic.
