I have only seen a few episodes of Wife Swap. I decided to tune in last night to catch the local family spotlighted. I have to say, I was mortified to say I share a community with these people. The mother, Karen Gustaferro should be ashamed of herself. Clearly stating she does her child's homework because her daughter just doesn't have the time. No time or doesn't have the intelligence? That poor child couldn't even spell AMERICA. Today they are saying they "played it up" for the cameras. My question would be- why would you want to? Why would you want your daughter to look like a dumb blonde who is good for nothing. If her mother is any indication of what she will look like when she is older...beauty will not be a part of her future. Before you go throwing insults around, one should look at themselves and their husband. Someone needs to teach that woman how to do her own make-up and hand her husband a comb. Looks will get you only so far in life. How can you become Miss America when you can't even spell it????

How about how the tree stays up all year and the girl gets a present EVERY DAY. The mother was on the radio this morning and said that this was true. On New Years this spoiled brat got a brand new Tahoe. Today she said her gift was only a little makeup. BOOHOO. Absolutely ridiculous.

ashamed that a girl of her age can't spell 2 words & mommy still helps or does her school projects...the kid isnt 10. the father should be blown in for discrimination...puts applicants looks ahead of experience. daughter is spoiled & stuck up, they need super nanny to sort out who is head of household,,parents or daughter??

OK OK, yes the mother does her homework (and I sincerely hope that her teachers were watching this episode!) and yes, this girl is a worthless twit but what about the brain surgeon of a father? He was just as much as embarrassment! What fathers sprays tanning oil on his teenage daughter? The whole family was just awful! I feel bad for the neighbors who have to deal with them on a daily basis! To teach your child that you will only succeed in life if you are pretty is a joke! Qhat's his excuse? He seems to be doing well financially and he is ugly as sin!

The neighbors are probably just as pompous, looking at the neighborhood and other houses and cars in the driveways.

Hopefully the only place this little dumb azz ends up is barefoot and pregnant with stretchmarks and a fat butt. After this she may end up eating a piece of humble pie (or end up like Britney)

I wasnt aware that there was that much money to be made putting tint on windows to spend $100k a year for pagents and useless crap for your dumb daughter.

I would get a house full of lazy, messy, people on a sticky pig ranch. Just because my house is really clean, we all work hard and I don't like the smell of poop. I can't hardly go to my sister in laws, what a mess, and smells like cat piss, so do the clothes and they don't take a shower.. move the lazy dog off the couch and the kids are all failing cause they do nothing but watch TV, and stay up all night..yuck!!!!

I wonder how these teachers pushed this girl through school. Can they sleep at night? You can't tell me that there wasn't some sort of red flag raised when she can get A's on "her" homework and yet can barely read a sentence. How could she pass a test? My guess is - she couldn't!

i was watching the show, unaware of the gact that the family is local and my roommate called and asked what i was doing and I was LMAO as i told her about the show! Achristmas tree????....all year????? thats some funny sh*t!!! I really do feel bad for the poor girl though, she is a product of her parents and the real world is going to eat her alive in a couple of years! but HEY! SPARKLE ON!!!!

And in case you want to see them at dinner, the restaurant they showed was Spilio's on Transit.
I have actually seen them there, and the story they gave about the producers of the show telling them to "ham it up", I think is a lie. From what I've seen, they really act like that. That kid is a spoiled brat!!!!!!

How much of a payout does a family receive for doing this show? I can't imagine that it would be worth it to embarrass yourself that much for any amount of money.
The kids at school would have to be laughing at this girl now that the world knows that she is illiterate. And what about the family business? If I did go there before, I certainly wouldn't after watching this horror story. To know how this jerk hires people is disgusting. And as I said in a prior post, he is ugly! So what gives him the right to judge anyone?

LMAO I didn't realize this family lived in Williamsville, I know they said New York, but I didn't catch the city. Oh my god - this episode was insane...Christmas everyday to show how much they love her? HEY MOM READ YOUR DAUGHTER A DAMN BOOK TO SHOW HOW MUCH YOU LOVE HER. SHE IS A FRESHMAN AND CANT SPELL AMERICA. Maybe if they would have spent more time teaching her and disciplining her as a child she wouldn't be behind in high school. I do feel sorry for this child, because the real world is a cruel place, especially for someone is dumb as rocks.

As for the mom saying looks are everything...SHE WORE SWEATS THE ENTIRE SHOW!! WITH HER HAIR IN A PONYTAIL! I dont get it.

The dad is just a pervert from I gather...for him to be teaching his daughter that she can go to dental school on her looks...what kind of dad says that? I want my girls to know they can learn anything, and be anything, but it takes hardwork..I already went to high school, I did my work and they will have to do theirs.
