My mother is in legacy I have seen elderly people with an arm in a sling being given their meals while the nurses sit in their office chit chatting. The elderly women will sit there not being able to eat and no attempt to feed her his made. That is the story for many of the residence there. I also have seen elderly individuals in wheel chairs sleepin all bent over almost falling out of their wheel chairs with nobody caring that these elderly people may fall out by sleeping in their wheel chairs and sliding out. My mother has lost 6 lbs in the 2 weeks she has been there to prove they don't care if they eat or not.

I am in this facility because of my profession. People are usually sitting in chairs in the hallway, totally ignored. I am not at all surprised by this turn of events.

Perhaps Mr. Zacher ought to check himself into the facility for a week under an assumed name and see first hand how it is there.

I worked for this company for 5 years. When Rick Zacher took over, it went way down hill. He only cares about himself and the money. They are hurting people there. Donnie Herbert, the firefighter, was at Father Baker for years, but when he was moved to a Legacy facility, he died from pneumonia after a couple of months. If the state closes this facility it will be a blessing and Zacher will get exactly what he deserves.

I had a family member there and it was awful. Wish I would have seen this story a month ago so I could have worked for a better place for one of the most important people in my life. I did complain about the conditions and treatment. Was B.S nothing was resolved. Its awful how they treat their patients they should be held accountable. Unfortunatly my family member passed away and I still beleive it had to do with the treatment or lack of that they didnt provide. I just hope no other family has to endure what we went thru.

Not sure where you are getting your information, but I hold a middle Management position at Legacy Healthcare and know first hand that Donnie Herbert, the local firefighter was never at any of our facilities. For the most part all the employees that i work with are careing individuals and go above and beoynd for the residents we work with and for. I am not dening that some of what I have read on these site are not true, cause they are, but I am also certain they happen at all nursing homes as well. I have read multiple posting from you on other sites and obviously you have not had a good experience with this company. If you are going to attempt to state facts about this company, at least get them correct.

I also work for this company, and I can say in one way you are right. My co-worker was misinformed, he was at Ridgeview Manor. The part you are not right about is that it was the facilities fault that he passed. He unfortunately had a fall when he was out to the hospital. In this fall he sustained a head injury. He then returned to Ridgeview, and sadly passed. It was, by no means, related to the care he received at Ridgeview.

I have worked at RVMNH for 9 years and have worked through it all. Rick Zacker is a very kind and caring man attempting to care for the elderly population with a Goverment that treats their Senior Citizens with less respect than their pets! Thank God their are people like him to stick it out for the sake of them. We as employee will contioue to support him and contionue to care for our extended "family" reguardless of all the misinformation that the ignorant public wants to dish out. In our hearts we give the best we can every single day of the year. Can you all say the same??????????

legacy health care may have has it share of problems in the past. but i beleived that this orginization needs to change its course of directions in many aspects which would include all levels of management from the bottom to the top. that would mean a whole dirtary staff incuding mngt, as well as nursing from cna's to lpns as well as don and asst don. i belieive that there is hope for legacy. being o former employee of legacy as a cna the facility is ran by people who are not 100% for the resident or the facility. and i think that mr. zacher needs to take time to evaluate all those who work there and make a cleen sweep and start fresh if he really would like to stay in bussiness. i've worked at williamsview manor for little than a year i love my work but the problem i faced there was not with the resisence but with the staff that show no lack of respect for the residence or other staff that was really there to care for those residence and often times false accusations were made about people who worked there and really wanted to make a difference was let go for no apparent reason. i was let go based on lies and deceit. so i would ask that mr. zacher to please for ounce in his life to listen to his heart and mind for ounce and start hiring all indivisuals that really have a positive motive. instead of those who may come to him with negative motives

You really didn't just post that obscene, juvenile rant and state you are an employee..you just gave that home the reason for it's gross, and DISGUSTING reputation.
Your middle management person has the worst and most unprofessional writing skills for such a high position.
With the two of you promoting this facility...I have to tell all who read this blog....RUNNNNNNNNNN!

The 2 Zacher sisters run Legacy and Wms. Suburban for awhile now and to cut costs they use this rent a housekeeper and laundry firm called FELDER Co. that cut employees to the bone and are a bunch of slave drivers who care nothing about their employees, only their own reputation for cutting costs.

I hear they operate like the 1920's South.Be careful as you could be here today and gone tomorrow.

A Union tried to get in there a few years ago and was voted in, but they chickened out which was a shame. Those places need a strong real union.

As soon as I saw " FELDER SERVICES ", I almost split a gut laughing. The bosses are nothing but a bunch of GHETTO YUPPIES. They belong in the city of Buffalo and not in Amherst, Tonawanda or Lackawanna.

They should be reported to the State and Labor Board for bias and unfair labor practises. They seem to have more bosses than workers, and a friend of mine said the little fellow looks like the owner of a Deli on the corner of Fillmore and Rodney and his homey assistant looks like one of the customers.
