School Mascot No Longer Packing Pistols
“I ran into a people commending the fact that we had taken the guns out of his hands.”
An area school mascot is losing its guns. Yosemite Sam has long represented Parry McCluer in Buena Vista . via WSET-TV Lynchburg

Come on people. Get a life! Yosemite Sam is not a gangster. He never did drugs. He is a harmless cartoon character. This is paranoia at it's worst. Does anyone even know what Columbine's mascot was? I think not. Why don't we gather all of this energy up in one big pile and focus it on building a new middle school instead. Let's get those kids out of the asbestos, roach infested, urine smelling, decrepit building. If everyone truly cared about the kids in this city, your own kids, they wouldn't allow the city to take the money for the middle school and try to spend it on a bigger, better jail for out of state criminals.
Bottom line....leave the antique mascot alone and do something more productive with your time that will have a positive, far reaching, impact on our community. Any questions?
