Think about it, You are on a child support board and you're married and not receiving child support. You haven't been in the sitiuation. Talk to somebody else not me. I can't speak for J, but I'm not on a child support forum. I'm posting from the Abortion forum. These threads are posted on multiple forums.

Because it is a PUBLIC forum...did you not notice that? I wouldn't be talking to you if you posted anything that made any sense...but you are all for defending deadbeat fathers and insisting that women have it made collecting child support. Yes brother...I married a man. He would take his responsibility without having to be forced...maybe that is another reason I posted...so women would see there is hope...that some men still realize they have responsibilities when they produce children, and that some men don't have to be forced to acknowledge that responsibility. Remember now...PUBLIC forum...anyone can post.

que wrote: <quoted text> That's the way it's suppose to be. Congrats for having a stand up guy!! I'm a stand up man as well and I pay support. I'm cool with it but I've seen people around me get their Arses handed to them in child support court because of a vindictive women. Of course all women aren't vindictive but quite a bit of them are. You can't tell me what they won't do I been through it you haven't. Before you say I don't know what you've been through you just explained you have been married to your children fathers for a number of years, so that tells memyou haven't been through the system. I agree with child support but it has to be fair. Reform is necc. Ok...but you need to understand that vindictive women play no role in the computation of support. There is a very specific formula that is followed when determining support, in which both incomes are taken into consideration and both obligations are taken into consideration. There is also a minimum requirement that the non custodial parent must be left with to live off of. Now...once support is figured out and if the non custodial parent quits the job (which happens quite a bit) and gets a lower paying job the child suppport will not be lowered, and I agree with that decision. I will give you I do believe there needs to be reform and I do believe Domestic Relations is a screwed up mess...But I do strongly belive there is a need for it. Have I dealt with child support issues personally? No. Have I seen both sides of the child support arguments? Yes. Have I taken family law and civil law classes? Yes. Have I done the formulation for child support? Yes. So while I may not have "personal" experience within the system...I most certainly have experience in the system.

I am married to a man who is a non custodial parent for 2 childrem whom he pays child support for. I agree that the system is set up to support the woman. My biggest complaint are with taxes. My husband gets taxed state and federally on his full salary. Child support is taken after taxes. At the end of the year their are no tax exemptions he can file to offset the money that he did not receive, but paid taxes on. As well, the custodial parent gets to use the child as an exemption b/c of the random costs associated with caring for a child. Doesn't make sense! Not fair!
