Its obvious the negative comments never went to their shop because they would know how honest this shop is. As a single Mom I need a reliable and honest mechanic and am so happy I found them. They are a small family run shop and have always taken great care of me. I tell everyone I know!

This shop is about as scummy as they get. They charge an arm and a leg for an estimate and then find 20 more things wrong with your vehicle so they can rack up the bill. I don't think I will go back anytime soon. There location worked out perfectly for me and the issue that I was having with my car but now I wouldn't mind traveling a little bit further to get better service.

How untrue. They do not charge for diagnosis as long as they do the repair. You can't find a shop like that anywhere. If any of these negative comments had gone to the shop, you would know the owner's name and not come up with these ridiculous comments.

I just recently had a friend go there.... She was not told there would be charged for an Estimate. They tore her whole car apart and held One of her Car parts for Ransome until she paid... First of all as a business bid the car first... tell the customer there will be a charge for the estimate. Dont assume the work is yours.... It is only an ESTIMATE... I'm glad I heard about this... Now I can tell people what a shady place this is....
Seriously? Don't they have to diagnose the vehicle? Could they tell by just looking at it what was wrong?? I don't think so. Your comment doesn't even make sense. Are they supposed to work for free? Obviously your friend is a no money having dead beat just trying to get something for free

I went there to see if any of these complaints are true. I love reading reviews of Topix and then actually going to the place to see if the reviews are right. Well the place was pretty mediocre. The people were not mean but not overly friendly either. I was having a problem with my heating system along with another issues. My issues were resolved and the price was right. However, a few weeks later and my car isn't working again. I called to complain about it and have not gotten a call back. I hope that they call me back so I can work something out.

Look this is the most honest auto repair shop I have ever been to. I took my car to a well known mechanic because I had a problem with my car losing power while im driving. I left it there for a week and they couldn't figure it out so i take it to hornbecks and tell them all the symptoms my car has and they come out with a crowbar looking thing and show me whats wrong like it was no big deal i was way impressed. Turns out it was the harmonic balancer and if i would have went there first i would have saved $1000.00. Since then not only is hornbecks the only place i will take my vehichles but they are also my friends. No job is to big or to small I have even taken my car in ther for turn signal light and they came out promptly and took care off the problem to get me back on the road fast, Heck they didn't even charge me for it.

When you choose a good auto body repair center would be save you from headache of repairing and money issues. First you can search some information on auto repair reviews then take some decisions.

I would not recommend Hornbeck's Auto. The owner (Tony) did not communicate with us regarding our vehicle, kept it for nearly 3 weeks, did not return numerous phone calls, did not discuss what he did in terms of diagnostic's and repair's, and most importantly DID NOT fix the problem. Our vehicle runs worse now than when we took it in. We are back to square one only now we will need to get our vehicle towed to another shop. We went to Hornbeck's based on a "recommendation", however we should have done more research. Very low score!

I spoke with tony about the 1992 pick up that you are writing about and was told that it needed a new computer that was no longer available. he said that he just could not get one without sending the old one in to have it rebuilt. He bought a used one that upon testing was not good and sent it in to the reman place but over the xmas and new year holiday it did take too long to get back. Also you should mention that they installed a new set of spark plugs and oxygen sensor.to help it run at no charge also no charge for the diagnosis.I wonder if the next shop will be able to figure it out then send the computer in to get rebuilt faster.and free. probably not!

I had a great experience. I had taken my car to another mechanic and they gave me a run around and squeezed me for almlst $500. I called Hornbeck's and they not only got me in same day but I got my car back in a few hours, despite the fact they already had a full day. Not to mention I was charged less then $200, I went in figuring it would be much more. I was delighted with the promptness of service. The car was done when they said it would be and I will continue to give them my business and refer all my friends to them as well.
