The deputy was going far to fast on a motor cycle. If a regular citizen would have been going that fast, the motor cycle riders family would be getting sued.

They shouldn't have gotten one dime!! The cop should have known better...if he would have obeyed the law, he wouldn't be dead today! This is a frivolous lawsuit!

to "friend of the family" :

That assertion is totally stupid!! I see you assign zero blame to the Deputy, who was not only speeding, it was WRECKLESS driving!! 90% of the blame is on him, PERIOD!!

To "Steve Littler"

Like friend of the family said, she had no license and shouldn't have been driving, she clearly wasn't looking when she pulled out.. Don't go pointing fingers there are many aspects and perspectives to this, not just one person was to "blame". Have a little respect for the family, you know so little.

she had no license and was driving (total disregard for the law) she ran the stop sign (total disregard for the law) and she killed a great guy who was on his way to help a friend, who was a credit to society and a father of 2 who would go out of his way to help anyone. Let him who has never exceeded the speed limit throw the first stone.

Yeah, they were both to blame but i tell you what that deputy didnt deseve to burn on his bike. Tell me you dont speed... any one of you? Every one does period! That girl wasnt suposed to be on the road period but she desided she needed to drive instead of walk and whether he was speeding or not he would have been at least seriously injured hitting her at 55 or 60....the speed limit on that road. I see to many good people die on bikes and this particular guy served our county in an honest fashion...not currupt like most. and the family deserved more than they will ever get because they lost a true hero...the whole county did. You are saying as long ass the wasted man driving shouldn't be punished or pay for killing the guy he hit or got hit by because they were speeding. I hold up a knife and step in front of you running down a hall stating no running on the walls and kill you....should i go to jail?? I would say yeah i would even though you ran into it. You can have your oppinion but unless you know all the details.....dont try to put your thoughts out there beccause you dont know what your talking about....an you know what they say about assuming! Think before you speak!

All i know is he was a good man, and didn't deserve to die that way. But, none the less, he did. The family has a right to file, and whatever happens (or happened) is out of our hands. Either way, no one really wins.
