STATE OF THE WORLD

1) Modern India is bereft of its ancient sublime roots and aside from a few bright patches most of the nation and its institutions are in shambles that have descended into the cesspool of the uncivilized, imitative, impoverished and criminal.

2) In Asia, where efficiency, discipline, progress, creativity, dignity and civic sense are concerned, Japan and South Korea are doing well. Singapore is a leading money-laundering haven and its industry is screw-driver driven or a hub for assembled products invented elsewhere.

3) Israel is a mostly a land of perverts, racists and people with a criminal mentality and just a handful of Israelis are sane, unbiased, honest and humane.

4) The Islamic nations are at the bottom of the civilizational heap and are set to implode due to stone age barbarisms and under internecine stresses or will be destroyed by external powers.

5) Much of Europe and North America are facing relentless attacks from the forces of perversion, imperialism, crass materialism and disintegration but quite a few Europeans and North Americans have retained or are improving upon their innate sense of discipline, self-respect, original thinking, civic orderliness, attention to detail, zero tolerance for shoddiness, adventurousness, fair-mindedness, chivalry and can-do attitude which is a welcome relief.

6) Most of South America is a breeding ground for poverty, chaos, and crime.

7) Aside from the enchanting wild life, Africa is a horror.

8) The Caribbeans are caught up in a perpetual state of lethargy, licentiousness, criminal activities, poverty, backwardness and black magic.

Israel is being attacked from every possible angle - and this is an evil scenario, embellished with a false saving grace. There should be one small place on the planet where jews can be free to pursue their own beliefs, and this must be respected by insecure christians and muslims, who have a problem respecting Jews as Jews, and Israel as Israel.
Pushing Jews into the sea, in the name of the NT or Quran, is the same as any other form of genicide. Have the jews not paid a great price to remain Jews? HughBe--- My Jesus, the Christ, teaches me that your masters or rabbis teach ABOMINATIONS and the dumb sheep like you and Eric follow blindly.
The problem, Hugh, is that you don't read and understand the Jewish Rabbi now known as Jesus. Rabbi Jesus was a reformer. Rabbi Jesus taught not to blindly and literally follow. He asked people to observe the Torah with a sense of humanity.

He taught that the second most important mitzvah was love your neighbor as yourself. Rabbi Jesus never said that you should call everyone who disagreed with your interpretation of the Tanakh "gay" or "homo". Doing so is not loving your neighbor as yourself.

It is a hateful act as Frijoles said. It says to everyone that unless they agree blindly with you that you will accuse them of violating your interpretation of the Tanakh also. Disagree with Hugh and have the wrath of Hugh come down upon you. Hugh doesn't care if what he says is true or not. Dare to disagree with Hugh and you will suffer his wrath anyway.

I have adopted the philosophy that calling me gay is not an insult because I accept gay people as my neighbors and I treat them as myself. Rabbi Jesus said to do that.

He taught that people should not stone a person who did not follow the mitzvot (prostitute story).

He taught that the rules of Shabbat should be tempered by humanity (healing on Shabbat story).

He taught that one should worry about one's own actions and not worry about what others are doing (mote/beam analogy).

If one lives one's life as Rabbi Jesus prescribed, one will look at the mitzvot as a guide to living one's own life and not as a way to judge others. That is your mistake Hugh. You are trying to force everyone into the Hugh theory of life rather than worry about what you are doing.

The Tanakh has some mitzvot that tell you what not to do. Rabbi Jesus never said that you should force others to abide by those mitzvot. He didn't say that you should force people from amongst you who do not abide by those mitzvot. Rabbi Jesus said to live one's own life in conformity with G-d and let others be. Rabbi Jesus said not to be judgmental.

Mandalay’s Chinese Muslims Chilled by Rioting Buddhists

MANDALAY, Myanmar — When hundreds of Buddhist men carrying clubs and swords marauded through the streets of this old royal capital earlier this month, the owner of a Muslim-Chinese restaurant took down the Koranic scriptures and the image of Mecca hanging above the cashier and removed the Arabic writing from signs on the street.

HONOR THY FATHER AND MOTHER

One degraded White woman says in a blog, "In the past, you were expected to keep your ageing parents at your home, many now see that this is not possible or FAIR."

COMMENTS:

Many degraded Westerners reject their aged parents.

If the aged parent is capable of caring for himself or herself, it is OK if he/she lives alone but as a safety measure and for companionship a kind house-helper should be hired to live with the aged parent(s) and their kids should live as close to them as possible, preferably down the same street or in the same neighbourhood, so that they can visit and spend quality time with their old parents on a daily basis.

I can't think of an adult kid living hours away from aged parents who're ruthlessly left to fend for themselves.

It is UNFAIR on the part of adult children to keep themselves aloof from aged parents or to consider them a burden so that the kids can live a life of fun and sensual excesses.

Parents should be valued,. loved and respected above all - they're the only ones who love us unconditionally and who stand behind us through thick and thin and who're the source of bringing us into this world and of nurturing us through our formative years.

Had my parents been alive, I'd have lived with them in the same apartment even had I been married with wife and kids or at the most I'd have bought an apartment in the same apartment block or in the same neighbourhood so that I could be as near as is possible to them.

WARNING: May those adult children who desert their aged parents or who treat them as a burden be cursed and meet a bad end.

A WARNING TO HUGH:

I hope that you're caring well for your aged Mummy and have not dumped her in an institution for the aged.

I am warning you against it.

I also don't want your Mom to live all by herself, while you enjoy life with your family and make just the occasional visit to her or make the dutiful phone call - degraded adult kids usually behave with their aged parents in this cruel manner.

Love your mother deeply and respect her from the bottom of your heart and care well for her and keep her with you in your huge house or keep her in a comfortable house in the same neighbourhood where you live with a servant to look after her needs and make it a point to visit her everyday.

Warm regards to your Mom.

A MOST BEAUTIFUL SCENE

I can't think of a more heart-warming scene than that of a loving family of grandparents, father, mother and kids - all living under one roof.

I can picture that family sitting at the dinner table with soothing talks doing the rounds as a servant or the mother serves the piping hot food, or of grandparents talking lovingly to the grandchildren, or of son patting his ill mom while sitting at her bedside in a bedroom of the apartment where the joint family lives, or of the family going on vacation together, or of grandparents planning a surprise gift for the grand kid whose birthday it is the next day, or of son and dad doing a bit of gardening while junior watches and helps out, or of the whole family trundling down to the synagogue or to any other place of worship as the faith of the family may be on the appointed day of the week or during festivals, or of collective daily prayers with the elders leading the prayer, or of the fun, laughter, love and joy permeating the house during special occasions like festivals or wedding anniversaries or birthdays.

These are instances of true harmony that carry great reward for such a family.

Had I been your biological son and had you been aged, I'd have loved, protected and cared for you deeply while living in the same house with you or in a house in the same street and would have visited you at least twice a day to spend quality time with you.

Even now that I look up to you as an online fatherly figure, I'd be more than willing to care for you in your old age by making all the necessary arrangements for your well-being and would not mind even if I have to live in the US to look after you.

I am serious.

Take care, papa.

I am always there for you.

Former,
Try Portugal - a gem of a place in Europe - despite its sick man rep:
Lisboa, Porto, Evora, Sintra, Alentejo, Algarve....
Portugal is a blend of old world charm, history, cleanliness, homeliness, close family ties, church culture, natural beauty, laid-back atmosphere, friendly people, passable English proficiency of the warm and welcoming locals, cozy cafes/bars, efficient public transport, beautiful orange/red roof tiled villas, sufficient modern amenities, quaint villages/small towns, inexpensive tariffs for most things and delicious wines/food and luckily Portugal is often skipped by international tourists (most Indian tourists give Portugal a skip and do not even consider it as a holiday destination) giving it a not so crowded ambience and a less noisy character.
Portuguese ties with India go back centuries and Portugal ruled over some parts of India till as late as 1960....
I have heard good things of Portugal.

Plus it's relatively inexpensive to visit.

I have enjoyed their wine.

What is the "sick man rep?"
