former res---This is indeed a sloppy, heavy type of wet snow to deal with.

HughBe--- my sympathy

Former---And we're expecting 6-10 more inches of it Tuesday night/Wed morning.

HughBe--- That would be deeper or more accurately longer than you. I speak only of the additional snow.

Former---Huggy, you're lucky you don't have to deal with this.

HughBe--- Indeed

Former---Just the occasional hurriCANE I guess.

HughBe--- We like when the CANE hurries to our way. When it comes it only occasionally blows off roofs, blows down trees, floods the bloody place and blows down utility poles. It is our treat and good fortune to be in the dark for many a days.

Much love, Mon.

rabbee: Nooo! mans faith in other men, is the concept of g-d/s. and is not the concept of their, being TheG-D of Only The Torah. and now is the prophecy of the whole world and their grandmother, all failing G-D again here in TheTorah in TheHappening. just like the last time, all of you and your grandmother, failed to be all there in TheTorah from G-D. The G-D Story does not change, for this world always making the same mistakes and expecting different results. there is very very very little difference between the last two Torot times, and this time in TheTorah again. just like the last two Torot times, you all help mr lizard lips deceive your grandmother out of being here in TheTorah from HaShem too.

HughBe---Incorrect. I spoke about reward/punishment and it is to be found in the Torah.

i do not believe, there is any other person in this world today. that accepts and believes, we are all here in TheTorah from HaShem G-D again. as you are all, sinister self evident proof of this.

and G-D never claimed to be giving, anything else but TheTorah here in IT. even the rest of the tanach, is not from G-D directly to anyone.

The Torah was meant to save the whole world here in IT. not just one, specific religiously vain group.

any group that says, that G-D is only meant from them here in TheTorah is a vain lie. and should avoid, such vain groups here in TheTorah Happening again from G-D.

What keeps this conversation from being a total snoozefest is the use of words like "sinister".

Do any of your fellow Rasta-men have generators for when the light go out.

It's possible we only have them here in the great ole US of A.

No doubt they were invented here :)

I have one that I bought recently but have not had occasion to use it yet.

With love back at ya, Mon.

I still have some shoveling to do, on the deck/around front door etc and will confess to working up a sweat.

I probably wouldn't have a machine either except for our former corner house that had 150 feet of sidewalk. It comes in handy though. 14 years old and still works well. Always starts on the first pull - nothing like a Honda.(I think they're made in Jamaica!:))

HughBe--- I take that as an attempt at humour. Note, it is not necessary for me to know Hebrew in order to know that there are BLESSINGS/rewards and CURSES/punishments in the scriptures/ Torah. In addition, I believe that the English translation of the following is ACCURATE and so there is no need for me to know Hebrew. The ULTIMATE PUNISHMENT is clearly stated in relation to non-observance of the Day of Atonement.

" For any person who will not be afflicted on that very day, shall be cut off from its people." The Complete Jewish Bible.

Do you think that the rabbis mistranslated the text?

Former---No doubt they were invented here :)

HughBe--- Correct as ALL things are invented there.

I would consider buying one if I knew with any certainty that our winters required one. The last bunch of winters have been very inconsistent - about 1 snow year out of four.

Actually the ENTIRE theology related to the Day of Atonement is post-Biblical.

As I stated in the former post. Seder Mo'ed - Tractate Yoma

So all the hoo has about reward and punishment is interesting but totally IRRELEVANT to this holiday.

Dont try to explain my religion, it only makes you look more foolish....

Frijoles---Actually the ENTIRE theology related to the Day of Atonement is post-Biblical.

HughBe--- How can that be? When is it celebrated by members of your religion? Is it a different day from what God gave?

Below is the biblical theology in respect of the Day of Atonement.

Belief 1---on the tenth day of ( the) seventh month is the Day of Atonement.

Belief 2--- It shall be for you a time of holy convocation

Belief 3--- you shall afflict yourselves

Belief 4---(You shall) present a food offering to the Lord

Belief 5---you shall not do any work on that very day

Belief 6--- whoever is not afflicted on that very day shall be cut off from his people.

Belief 7---- And whoever does any work on that very day, that person I will destroy from among his people.

Belief 8--- It is a statute forever throughout your generations in all your dwelling places.

Belief 9---It shall be to you a Sabbath of solemn rest, and you shall afflict yourselves.

Belief 10---On the ninth day of the month beginning at evening, from evening to evening shall you keep your Sabbath.”

Thanks but you may recall that I gave the theology from the scriptures, see below. Also, I tend to separate theology from customs and this does not mean that there is no merit in customs but I like to keep them separate.

The holiday THEOLOGY for TRUMPETS in the Torah are below.

Step 1 (tells WHEN it must be done)--"In the seventh month, on the first day of the month"

Step 2 (HOW)--"you shall observe a day of solemn REST"

STEP 3 (HOW)---"a memorial proclaimed with blast of trumpets, a holy convocation."

Step 4 (PROHIBITION)---You shall not do any ordinary work,

Step 5(HOW)--- and you shall present a food offering to the Lord.

Forgive me, I used only Leviticus 23 in my previous post to outline biblical theology for the Day of Atonement. So, I omitted the most important part of the theology i.e. "For on that day shall the PRIEST make an ATONEMENT for you"

Observation, there are other teachings associated with the Day of Atonement and they are integral to the TEMPLE.

Finally, nothing that I have said in this post is post-biblical.
