Opinion is divided between Islamic Scholars on the issue of Photo taking.
To take a photo with the intention of worshipping and respecting and revering any person, or place or idol is totally banned.
To take photos of natural objects and natural scenes is permissible without any reservations.
To take photos for identification purpose, for ID s and passports is permissible.
To take photos of stranger women and girls is not allowed.
Islam is a very reasonable and logical religion, not some whims and fancies of some one.
And as told to Mr. Frijoles, it is not a WMD, it is only a religious opinion by some Islamic Scholars and it can be contested by other Islamic Scholars.
Cameras are not a taboo in Islam, they are harmless devices, it depends what you use them for.!!

Can a woman take a picture of another woman? Can a child take the picture of another child?

What is the difference between a painting and a picture?

What is the difference between a natural scene and a non-natural scene? Is a landscape dotted with factories natural? Is a picture of a man urinating unnatural?(for the sake of the question lets assume you cant see the nakedness)

The same way they see end of world, when some one gives a call to Jihad.....while Jihad in reality is a struggle against corruption, mischief, tyranny and injustice in the world.
Media knowingly or unknowingly distorts these worlds, so many people do not know or understand its real meanings and limitations.
Is it really the western media that distorts these views, or is the the fault of those who hijack your religion (and their supporters) that drive the media to such conclusions? Don't be so quick to put the blame on others.

All this time, we have been following this religion thing using faith, and now you indicate to us you have a certainty.
Faith can either be blind or based on certitude.

The former approach - blind faith - is belief-based and is worthless and results in zero gain and no proof of the supraphysical and its causal connection with the human mind-matter matrix, while, for the latter one, which is faith based on certitude, one needs the yogic experiences of the subject uniting with the object in consciousness-force field.......

HALF-BAKED KNOWLEDGE OF BUDDHA & MOSHE:

1) "A man may conquer a million men in battle but one who conquers himself is, indeed, the greatest of conquerors."

- Buddha

2) The only affirmative saying of Moshe is to "honor your father and mother", whereas 9 of the 10 sayings of Moshe are proscriptions. They tell us what we shalt NOT do - You shall have no other Gods; not make idols; not take His name in vain; not work on the shabbath; not commit murder; not commit adultery; not steal; not bear false witness and finally, not covet your neighbor's wife or possessions.

- Moshe

DEAREST JOEL SAYS: Both the seers, Buddha and Moshe, are ignorant - The Buddha is an escapist via his nirvana that yogically disciplines the subliminal consciousness in such a way that it tends to step behind the vicissitudes of the frontal force fields of mind, vital and matter that define the surface personality and besides his suggestion as typed above is to simply suppress one's baser nature through mental will or by nirvaanic poise which is no cure but a temporary palliative, while, on the other hand, Moshe is dictatorial and dogmatic and like a fool has only reiterated common sense morals known even to the savages far before he was born. Not surprisingly, none of these seers has spoken about the integral transformation of being or of the abolition of the lower instincts by bringing down a higher unificatory force of at least the supramental kind. But, then, it's futile blaming these inferior personalities when they were stuck on the lower ranges of consciousness and were clueless about the higher reaches of cosmic existence beginning with the supermind and going beyond into the supracosmic and absolute realms.

5 Fast Facts About The
Federal Reserve
#1 The greatest period of economic growth in
U.S. history was when there was no central
bank .
#2 The United States never had a persistent,
ongoing problem with inflation until the
Federal Reserve was created. In the century
before the Federal Reserve was created, the
average annual rate of inflation was about half
a percent. In the century since the Federal
Reserve was created, the average annual rate
of inflation has been about 3.5 percent, and it
would be even higher than that if the inflation
numbers were not being so grossly
manipulated.
#3 Even using the official numbers, the value
of the U.S. dollar has declined by more than
95 percent since the Federal Reserve was
created nearly 100 years ago.
#4 The secret November 1910 gathering at
Jekyll Island, Georgia during which the plan
for the Federal Reserve was hatched was
attended by U.S. Senator Nelson W. Aldrich,
Assistant Secretary of the Treasury
Department A.P. Andrews and a whole host of
representatives from the upper crust of the
Wall Street banking establishment.
#5 In 1913, Congress was promised that if the
Federal Reserve Act was passed that it would
eliminate the business cycle .
#6 The following comes directly from the
Fed's official mission statement : "To provide
the nation with a safer, more flexible, and
more stable monetary and financial system.
Over the years, its role in banking and the
economy has expanded."
#7 It was not an accident that a permanent
income tax was also introduced the same year
when the Federal Reserve system was
established. The whole idea was to transfer
wealth from our pockets to the federal
government and from the federal government
to the bankers.
#8 Within 20 years of the creation of the
Federal Reserve, the U.S. economy was
plunged into the Great Depression.
#9 If you can believe it, there have been 10
different economic recessions since 1950. The
Federal Reserve created the "dotcom bubble",
the Federal Reserve created the "housing
bubble" and now it has created the largest
bond bubble in the history of the planet.

#10 According to an official government
report, the Federal Reserve made 16.1 trillion
dollars in secret loans to the big banks during
the last financial crisis. The following is a list
of loan recipients that was taken directly from
page 131 of the report...
Citigroup -$2.513 trillion
Morgan Stanley -$2.041 trillion
Merrill Lynch -$1.949 trillion
Bank of America -$1.344 trillion
Barclays PLC -$868 billion
Bear Sterns -$853 billion
Goldman Sachs -$814 billion
Royal Bank of Scotland -$541 billion
JP Morgan Chase -$391 billion
Deutsche Bank -$354 billion
UBS -$287 billion
Credit Suisse -$262 billion
Lehman Brothers -$183 billion
Bank of Scotland -$181 billion
BNP Paribas -$175 billion
Wells Fargo -$159 billion
Dexia -$159 billion
Wachovia -$142 billion
Dresdner Bank -$135 billion
Societe Generale -$124 billion
"All Other Borrowers" -$2.639 trillion
#11 The Federal Reserve also paid those big
banks $659.4 million in fees to help
"administer" those secret loans.
#12 The Federal Reserve has created
approximately 2.75 trillion dollars out of thin
air and injected it into the financial system
over the past five years. This has allowed the
stock market to soar to unprecedented heights,
but it has also caused our financial system to
become extremely unstable.

A chilly Arctic summer has left nearly a
million more square miles of ocean covered
with ice than at the same time last year – an
increase of 60 per cent.
The rebound from 2012’s record low comes
six years after the BBC reported that global
warming would leave the Arctic ice-free in
summer by 2013.
Instead, days before the annual autumn re-
freeze is due to begin, an unbroken ice sheet
more than half the size of Europe already
stretches from the Canadian islands to
Russia’s northern shores.

Tip of the Day -- if all your ideas and beliefs come from half-baked Internet whack sites then at least reference them or cut out the extra links.

Otherwise, you just look like a moron who hasn't mastered the fine art of cut-and-paste.

Daily Mail isnt so half baked. It is, however, highly partisan and tabloid.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Daily_Mail
Editorial stance

In the late 1960s, the paper went through a phase of being liberal on social issues like corporal punishment, but soon returned to its traditional conservative line. The Mail has always traditionally been a supporter of the Conservative Party and endorsed the Conservative Party in all recent general elections.

The paper is generally critical of the BBC, which it says is biased to the left.[49

But you have to concede that when someone issues a fatwa that opines someone should die (thinking Mr Rushdie or the girl recently in Pakistan), the purpose behind the fatwa MUST be to garner as much media attention as possible. So I dont think you can shift the blame to the media. The blame should be put on the originator who issued such a crazy dingbat opinion in the first place.

No different than the crazy dingbat preacher in Florida who wishes to BBQ all the Korans. Its him to blame, not the media, he solicits and craves the attention. Your mullahs in the examples above are the same.

Really, are some of them any different than the rulings that decree that thou shalt filter all your food lest you eat bugs, or that you should wrap yourself in saran wrap because heaven forbid touch a woman, etc etc....CRAZY is not copy-writed (though it would be more interesting if it was).

The dictates of the Tanakh are no less than fatwas - in those times, it was something like "do this and live" or "refrain from doing that or die".

YHVH:

1) The Hebrew verbs hayah and havah mean ‘to exist’,‘to have being’,‘to have breath’, because that which exists, has being, has breath. In Hebrew thought, the breath is the character, personality, nature, or the being of someone. When the typal G-d, EL-YHVH, says,‘I AM WHO I AM’, He is saying,‘I exist’,‘I am being’,‘I have breath’. The third person singular, He is, YHVH, means ‘He exists’,‘He is Being’,‘He has breath’.

2) So, YHVH is a typal being of breath by which is meant the life-force. YHVH is a vital being and its teachings and phenomena clearly correspond to the vital plane of cosmic consciousness-force. Now, the tetragrammaton, YHVH, has a deeper occult meaning other than its literal rendition. Nevertheless, it is a vital power.
