City Manager creating job for personnal friend

I think it is unethical for John Saari to use our tax money to create a job for Randy Villa, County Assessor, so he can continue to fund his retirement. I think he should be fired for using his office to help only his friends. We need an ethical county manager who has the interest of all tax payers in mind, not just a few.

Please tell me they are not hiring that individual into the County executive job of Fire Management Officer! This was posted and required extensive experience in that area of function -- as well as the DWI Council component. I'll bet that Villa did not meet any of these criteria and will be just another crony collecting a handsome salary if, indeed he's destined to fill this opening left by Gary Benevidez who was more-than-qualified to be an FMO -- and was a good one prior to his retirement. Why does no one speak up, why does the Commission put up with this Manager's nonsense instead of acting responsibly as Saari's "Supervisors" and telling him "NO" and meaning it! By the way -- Grant County is up to the neighborhood of 3.5-4 million dollars spent on the "Business & Convention Center". I don't recall the taxpayers being consulted on this before it was just...done...
