On Monday we told you about the plight of two Buckhead side streets - - Rivers Road and Muscogee Avenue - - that could use a little love.

The City of Atlanta has scheduled asphalt paving, but the homeowners want to preserve their concrete street. They will not let the asphalt crews do their work, which is why these streets have never been paved.

I would think the city would simply TELL them "We are paving these roads on so and so date. If you want them paved with concrete rather than asphalt, you can find and pay the contractor to have it done by that particular date."
