Last night the BYF Blue BUCS and BYF White BUCS scrimmaged each other as we do on most Thursday nights. At the end of the night our coach (Person) grabbed one of the White BUCS kids and threw him. These kids range in age from 7-10 years old. I think he should be removed from coaching and as the BYF President! To all of the White BUCS team and parents: I'm sorry for what our coach did last night. It was hard not to get up with the White BUCS parents and take up for this child. I wish our Blue BUCS team was more like the White BUCS team! They seem to have great coaches kids and parents! We only have the great kids and some parents

what does it matter whose kid it was? why wasn't he charged with child abuse? if a parent had done this, they would have their kids removed from their home. why does a coach get by with this?

. No it wasn't his kid or even a kid on our team! The child was on the other team. I have to say they have more respect for their kids and team! I couldn't beleave Person got out of there alive and untouched! I'm sure it was because the other team was thinking of all the kids around!

I was in Pizza Hut eating one night about 10 yrs ago & Dr Ron Pearson was in there w/ his wife & kids. He flipped. I have no idea what one of the children did but how he acted was totally uncalled for. He started yelling at them & trying to spank the one while they were sitting in the booth & the only thing he accomplished was beating the kid on the leg because he couldn't reach their butt. I couldn't believe a doctor would act that way. Needless to say, I was glad to hear his wife got rid of him when he got caught with that nurse. She's better off without him. Ron Pearson shouldn't be allowed near children w/ that temper.

His name is Dr Ronald B Pearson, Jr. He lives in Buckhannon & yes, he does practice at Braxton Memorial Hospital.

He used to be our doctor but we dropped him due to his getting fired from St Joseph's Hospital in Buckhannon.

Although he did get caught having an affair, his wife did not get rid of him & they are still very much married.

If you think he treated the kid at the ballgame badly, you should see how he treats his wife & kids at home. It's disgraceful.

She's an idiot for staying with him & subjecting their children to his ridiculous behavior.

When i was i kid i played football in texas. We were abused and beaten everyday. Some of the opposing team went alittle to far when coaches gave players razor blades to use while tackeling. But i do agree with strong physical punishment. I agree with it100%.It has made me the successful man i am today. Our team was also unbeaten most of the time. I agree with strong discipline. There where time the coach made us push the sled till we passed out. as well as come up out of our stance to drive our shoulders into a oak tree for an hour at a time till we got it right.Maybe that is why bu always has crappy team.It should be hit $hit or bust.If you cant hack it dont try to play.

This sounds like the Ron Pearson I know! He screams at children during wrestling matches, cusses his kids like dogs, and is verbally and physically abusive in every encounter he feels entitled to be. He then has the gumption to run for board of education positions? Wow! I hope that the child who was thrown has parents who will fight this monster in our community! So sad! Sports or not, no grown man should ever lay his hands on a child that is not his own!

I am not saying that Ron Pearson is a great person, but this has been completely blown out of proportion! You apparently wasn't there to witness the child, whose father you work with, being shoved. This 11 year old "child" was choking another child and Ron pulled him off of this child, who just so happened to be Ron's son. It sounds to me like your coworker sees $$$ signs! The parents on the White Bucs have had it out for Ron from before the season even started! Maybe we should keep in mind that this man is willing to VOLUNTEER his time to the youth of Upshur County!

I have to agree that this is ridiculous! Why isn't anybody mentioning the White Bucs coach who totally dropped the F bomb 2x at practice Thurs night! I agree that these are children and that this should be something they enjoy......but it is football! If that kid was choking my child, I would have done the same!

I would love to know who you are! Apparently you didn't hear the language being used by the "respectful" white Bucs coach. Actually you are probably one of the parents who drops their kid off and returns at 7:30, and uses this as a babysitting service!

I am not afraid to use my real name. Why are you guys commenting on something that you guys can't even use your real name on. As for what happened Blue Bucs parents were not even close to see what happened and it was not our coach that said the F bombs it was Ron. Their was no choking and the kid was not shoved, he was picked and threw down. If Ron was so concerned he should of got his child out of the situation and not someone else's. It's a SHAME that all players had to see this behavior.

I hope charges r brought against him! This happened right in front of me when I first stood up I was not concerned if it was our team or the blue BUCS team that the boy belonged to it was the fact that a person had done this to a child! There was no choking or anything else from the kids! How could any of the Blue BUCS parents even see or hear anything? U couldn't because u where all to far away! The only person that was using the F word was Ron.
