Fish Hawk Acre Farms
Looking for advice

Clarksburg, WV

#1 May 9, 2012
I am new to town and was wondering about Fish Hawk Acre Farms. I found them on the web. It is run by a gentleman named Dale Hawkins? I have heard that they have good food, but the prices seem very expensive. Anyone have any thoughts? Since I am new to the area, maybe these prices for CSAs and what not are the going rate around here. I haven't found much more info on folks with other CSAs or heard anything about a local Farmer's Market. I also am in need of a wedding catered next spring. His catering prices seem out of my budget, but maybe that is again the "going rate". I am unsure of what to do. Anyone else have ideas or suggestions? Thanks. Still trying to figure out this town I moved to.

Dale is probably WV's most famous chef. He was executive chef at both Deer Park Inn and at Stonewall Jackson Resort. He also worked at the Greenbrier for a while I think. He's very, very, good. He was recently featured on travel channel. His stuff is pricey, more so that other local stuff, but well worth it.

There is a local farmers market, but it is overpriced as well.
