What is up with Buckhannon Walmart? They never have anything in stock, one of the nightime cashiers has freakin Tattoo's and piercings all over, and about a month ago I was in there and somone had a snake around their neck. When employee's was asked about why there was a snake in there, the answer I got was any animal can be a service animal. Somone tell me How in the hell can a snake be a service animal?

I wondered if it was just me that got aggravated every time I go in there. They are always out of lots of stuff. There are always alot of bare/empty spots on their shelves. Is it a problem with managment or what? They have a few managers out there now that are a little strange. It is unprofessional to have a smoking area right at the front/side of the store, but it is even more disturbing when you see the managers out there with the employees puffing away. You would think that they would have a little more appreciation and respect for the customers that shop there that provide a job for them.

And where have you guys been hiding? Walmart plays by it's own rules. Always has, since the quest for global domination began. Whether that applies to a Walmart in a very large, over-populated city or a small town one. Doesn't matter...

Just curious of why it matters what the cashier looks like? I have been in there. I dont know here personally but have been through her lane. I found her to be quite good at her job. Does the way she looks have any bearing on her performance? I once was turned down for a job at a local auto parts store because as a man my hair is too long....... I know more about parts then anyone there but was judgeed for my appearence. Just like you are doing. Grow up. I am sure you are no looker yourself. If she does a good job then that is ALL that should matter!!

a snake can very much be a service animal.
They can let a person know when a seizure is coming on.
Looks like you need to educate yourself!

Do you realize you're shopping at the most popular place in buckhannon. If its so horrible..go to krogers...it really is that simple. Complaining about the nighttime cashier is NOT going to get your shelves stocked. P.s nightime is when they do most of their stocking. Oh and about the snake...quit being such a wuss.

If they do their stocking at night, why are there always pallets of crap out on the floor? They cart it out before 5pm and stock after 10 pm. We go to elkins or clarksburg to shop.

@ popo because some people have to multi task and some people just slack. You can be working on something and get called to go cover a break or go up front to do cashiers work...

the snake will give a person "a hug" Squeeze. This lets the person know that a seizure is coming on. The snake is picking up on the person drop in body temp.
If you have ever been around a person that has bad seizure you would want them to know as early as possible.

if you know a seiziure is comming you can make sure you pull over quickly if driving, set or lay down to protect yourself. also by moving objects away from you that could injure you and making sure you dont fall ect.call someone if you are alone. obviously you've never been around people with seizures. and a dog ect. can sense seizures. knew a man once who had many many seizures and the dog would go warn his folks so they could be with him when it happened. and it was a poodle- and not a service dog either. just an intuitive animal. thank god the man had him.

Really? So how can you be driving in WalMart late at night with a snake wrapped around you.

What if the snake starts strangling you while you are trying to lay down while driving?

How is a snake going to warn his folks?

Are we talking about planet earth here?

Ok so a snake can let somone know they are gonna have a seizure, A snake can also give somone a heart attack. For those that say I needed educated, alot more people die from a freakin heart attack ( seeing the big freakin snake) than a damn seizure. Sounds to me like your the one that need an education.

You might think you are going to have a heart attack but you don't.
Just like when you ride the roller coaster.
And just so you know, PEOPLE DIE FROM SEIZURES ALSO

From what I have read, it sounds as though a snake is not supported as a legal service animal.

However, one can sense a seizure before other animals could, and alerts the owner in time to get his/her medication.

I think we care too much about ourselves here to be honest. If we had a medical condition that could strike at any moment without warning, wouldn't we want something with us that could alert us?

Wouldn't we want to be allowed to live as normally as possible despite certain disabilities or conditions?

I don't think it's really fair to take that kind of security away from another person. Remember it's not necessarily just for the owner's benefit, it could keep you from being injured as well in some circumstances. If you don't like snakes, you could shop in another area of the store...

God forbid someone with a medical condition might interfere with your day. So sorry.

I work there so let me fill u n. We r majorly underemployed. We have had 8 pple quit n just the last 2 months & we were understaffed before that. We hire pple, they don't stay. Yes I will admit, some of the managment sux. But we r also "spring cleaning". Gettin rid of stuff that doesn't really sell to bring n new stuff to try or to bring n more of the major selling items. We r also "rearranging". This is a business tactic where we move the things u want to diff places so u have to look for it & mayb find other things u want & spend more money. Hence y walmart makes so much dang money. As for the snake. I was there. We r working on a way to stop this but honestly by law we really can't. If he comes back with proper service paprs, we can b sued for discrimination. And honestly I would rather see a snake in the store than most of the customers we have to wait on. The snake isn't rude for no reason, they don't try to steal stuff & blame the store for it. They don't take a dump on our floors & act like its our jobs to clean it up. U also have to think to. If we r always out of something mayb its just that we only ordered a small amount & its all been bought. Bad timing. We have pple come n there & buy every 1 on the shelve b/c they don't want to come back n a few days. And would u rather a cashier with tats & rings wait on u or a complete _____ who treats u with the same respect u guys treat us with? And as its been said before, there is kroger or other walmarts around. We will survive even if we lose a few customers. Thanks and have a good day :)
