Is it more acceptable for a woman to date an older man, than it is for a man to date an older woman?

How many years is acceptable? What makes someone too old to date???

Just wondering what the topix peanut gallery thinks on this one :-)

Usually girls date older men....but If both parties are over 18, what does it matter. You can't help who you love

Most women "Hit the Wall" when they get older and lose their looks. It becomes harder and harder to get their man. The makeup becomes almost like a clown.

Men get more and more handsome. They want younger women. Its just a fact of life.

When a women hits 40 her man will trade in for two 20's easily.

Woman seek Love and find sex.

Men seek sex and find Love.

Just some facts of life they don't teach in school.

When my wife hit 40 I told her I was gonna trade her in for 2 20s.

She told me I wasn't wired for 220.

Well I am in the mid 30's mark...and have considered men in their mid 40's but some look so old...and got big guts...

Im fit...attrative...and have lots of younger guys hit on me...but it makes me feel old....guess maybe i am just too damn picky...

I want someone who takes care of themself...I know its not all about looks...but when your gut is bigger than mine its a turn off.

It really does not matter, at all because I am married, but this is one girl that frowns at 'jacked up trucks.' Seriously, what's the point??? I don't get it.

Drunkenness is causing me to only see the fact that the topic title says 'accpetable' and all I can focus on now is 'petable.' Completely lost my train of thought. Go me.

Oh yeah...I'm the older person in our relationship. But not by much so it's really not important. That's possibly where I was going with this? Hmm...

As opposed to having to wear a bag over your head so nobody has to look at your avatar.

As long as you get along with each other age doesn't matter, I actually like younger women, they have a better outlook on life.

Age ain't nothin but a number -Aaliyah.
I believe if you both are of legal age, both can make adult decisions, then what does it matter which party is older. Some men like older women, some like younger women. And likewise for girls. Love is blind. The heart wants what heart wants.

As a person who is married to an older man, I would like to share my view on these thoughts. Age is simply a number. Women often mature faster than men and sometimes it is hard to find a person of the same age who you have something in common with; or compatible. Age is a number defining the years since birth - age does not determine intelligence or integrity because each and everyday someone struggles or learns of a new bump in the road that increases the aging process. Personally, I grew up around older people and not my peers so I find certain things more worthwhile than others.
As sad as it may seem; some are far more interested in how someone looks than what they have to offer from within. Yes, being attracted to someone is vitally important in a relationship or marriage; however, when someone raidates kindness from their heart...I can't find any better attraction to focus on. This is what is wrong with our society. Everyone has become so narrow minded and their scope of reality has been lost in what is real and what is fictional.
I am pleased to be married to an older man who is good to me, my children, and my family. He knows the importance of romance and communication...he supports all of the decisions I make for a brighter future and he respects the fact that my job and lifestyle is consuming because he is mature enough to honor those things that are important in our lives for our future.
Don't focus on age...it is just a number, but it can measure the milestones taken in life. Love is not measured by birthdates! Certainly, adults should share adult relationships...keep it of legal age; but other than that - do what makes you happy because we are only here for a little while ~
