Yes, civilians can buy them. They are not the big ones with the two prongs but you can get the lower power ones with one. You have to be law enforcement or military to buy the good ones. Still, the little ones would be enough to at least give you a chance to shock and run to get a head start.

I guess sick people shouldn't commit crimes.

Bullets kill healthy and sick people, If I were one of those sick people and did commit a crime; I think i would rather take my chances with the taser..

Although I don't trust any of the newer cops; at least one or two would use them on a traffic stop just to watch you jerk on the ground.

Your wrong about that. Civilians can buy the same one's. It's just some manufacturer's only sell them to Law Enforcement.

That happens every day in this nation.

Innocent people are always being tazed, and in some cases die from it.

Granted they are a good tool, but some cops do get a tad overzealous at times.

Oh yeah, the one where the shoppers had to do the police's job because he got a boo booo.
If you tackle a guy on concrete floors ya might break something.
How about Posey when he cuffed a guy and he ran away from him? Posey was so overweight he couldn't chase him down. Is that why they need them? No fitness program?
Or what officer was it that cleaned the ditch with his car out on Brushy Fork awhile back and really had no reason why he should have ran off the road in the first place?
And the one who pulled a guy over for doing 35 in a 25; but it was really a 35 zone and took the persons car to drive back to look at the speed limit sign? That was Jose.

Don't know but I see in the Delta today that they evidently work. Stout got tazed twice.

My thoughts on the buckhannon police are very low.

First you got the Luke story, no I'm not a family memeber, but I think the Police sure could have handled it better...

Then you got a lot of people who are friends with the police, so they can do anything they want, including run a meth lab.

Then you got those friends that do things for the police, so when their kids get into trouble and have a super high bail, they just send a bill to the police for it in the ammount of the bail...

Not mentioning any names of course, but that is 100% true, and the bottom 2 situations involve the same family.

I almost laughed at loud in that one rockcavedude. But then you are the guy who has posted before how stupid it is for law enforcement to persue drugs and the people who sell them. I recall a lenghty forum post by you on that one. Almost makes some of us think you may have something against some of the cops. And since you're rockcavedude, I would guess you live out in the county and are considering the police to be the sheriff's department. Two seperate departments.

Be like giving a fat kid a box of candy bars, over use and abuse, the biggest crime they handle is a stop sighn violation. Does that offender need tased? Anything above that they cant handle anyway.
