This is just a question... but results may be passed on to owner.

The McDonalds, at times, is very crowded on Mineral Wells and sometimes the traffic is backed up out of the entrance all the way to the hill top.

This creates a serious hazzard for unknowing people going north when they run into stopped traffic waiting to turn into McDonalds.

What about a second McDonalds out on East Wood St?The corner of East Wood and Volunteer Dr. would be a good spot, but would reqire a lot of fill and drainage construction... but still a good spot.

Any ideas or suggestions?

I talked to Bob Kenworthy the owner, about this very issue a couple of years ago. He stated he was't interested and it wasn't going to happen... in building a second McDonalds!! Bob's a very nice man!

We have enough fast food joints. If someone craves mcdonalds bad enough to sit in the road to wait, they have a problem.

I agree with smalltowndrama......we need a Hardees back in Paris....they do have the best breakfast. McDonalds is ridiculous! They added a second order station, and half the time when traffic is backed up half way around the building, they only have one open. They know we are all gonna keep going there, but doesn't make the situation any better. It's all about the almight dollar!!!

A Hardees would be good... I just suggested McDonalds... anything would take some of the load off Mineral Wells. But, only if it were built on East Wood St. It "doesn't" have to be on Mineral Wells!!!

Ain't happening. They own the market as it is. I agree about sitting in the road....it's going to kill somebody over a biscuit.

Poor Burger King and their weird commercial mascot. They will have 1 car when McD's has them wrapped around the building and out in the street.

When they rebuilt a few years ago they should have pushed it back to where the back lot is and had a longer entrance but I guess they didn't think business would grow to this degree.

The person that said "anyone" can buy a franchise and put in a McD's is just WRONG. It doesn't work like that. Not here in this market size. Bob would have a stake in that happening or not. If you don't believe me.....go ahead and start the process and let us know how far you get with that.

If considering building anything.. the East side of town would be a great place. Only thing on that side is Dairy Delight. Love Dairy Delight, but need more choices. Wishing Target would build.

There are only a 'limited' number of customers that are going to buy McDonalds food. It wouldn't pay to build another McDonalds on the 'other' side of town, as you would be 'robbing' the Old McDonalds business away from the other McDonalds. Bob would have DOUBLE the expense, ie: buildings, supplies, employees, and wouldn't really get any 'increase' of NEW business, with it being so close to the OLD McDonalds. At one time, Bob owned 7 McDonalds. I know he gave his children, 2 or 3 of them. Bob would have 'influence' with the McDonalds Corp. on another McDonalds being built in this city!!!!

I don't think they should build another McDonalds.

I do have a complaint about the one here. They should not start serving breakfast at 2:15 AM. That is ridiculous. We work midnight shift at the hospital and our first break is not until around 2 so we are stuck eating breakfast every night. Unless Huddle House is open. Whatever happened to breakfast beginning at 3 or 4? The regular menu is more expensive than the breakfast menu anyway so why would you want to not profit?

Breakfast is more profitable hence the cheaper pricing. Doesn't cost much to cook up some biscuit and eggs and coffee

Yea I think Paris could use a second McDonalds and I also think Paris could use a first ANYTHING else! Why are you people not tired of eating the same old shit? Does anyone know that Murray has a Fazoli's, Pen Station, and Dunkin Donuts now just to name a few NEW places? Where's Applebees???? Maybe they should let the Mexicans open it, they seem to be doing something right.

Murray's McDonald's is the same way. Idiots blocking traffic so they can shovel garbage in their faces. They also put in a second order station but rarely use it.

Interesting enough: Paris has far more options than Martin. This is unusual because Martin has a public university located within its city limits. I've wondered that if Paris had UT instead of Martin, would this spur growth in Paris? Martin is a dump of a town, and they have very few options outside of McDonalds, Wendy's and Pizza Hut. Paris has done well with its dining options in comparison to other west Tennessee towns of its size.

That's the only reason I think Murray has such options due to a public university. UT Martin you would think, would help the town of Martin out, but does not appear so.

To "Interesting" I have seen this response... almost word for word on another site, however, I am not going to check all the possible sites to find it.

I believe from you response here that you have an interest in seeing Paris grow or you have suggestions or ideas to help Paris grow.

We may have reason to talk... if you have that interest to do so I will log back in to topix using the name "Tell me the story." If I do you will be able to send me a personal e-mail without giving out your name and I can write back doing the same.

I know this is an open forum and anyone could write but I will give a try. Just let me know here if you are interested.
