Hello, I'm about to have a baby girl in late February. Are there any recommendations for a pediatrician? I'm not from here, I don't know anyone really. Please be honest, but no trash talking either.

@Kellysmells:*thumbs up*
@kelly: if you don't have any advice, then I really don't need your input. I need a pediatric doctor reccommendation, I don't need childish drama. I'm giving birth, and in need of a doctor to make sure my child is healthy and will continue to stay that way. If you cannot appreciate that then I pity you.

So the one poster saying "go fck yourself " is advice?
I feel you will blend in with the fine people of Paris.
You will fit right in with the backstabbing two face Christians.

Ok people, harsh much... I mean really...?
And I agreed with the ONE statement because I asked for advice, and you basically said that there is no good health care in paris...
Not very helpful at all. Admittedly I shouldn't have encouraged the language of the other person, but whatwould you say if you asked for advice and some one was like ha good luck with that. I want my baby to be seeing a good reliable doctor. And I'm not staying in paris for more than a few months. Also what does religious affiliation have to do with anything in this thread? What doctor gave you such a bad experience? Honestly, what is so bad about the doctors in paris...?
Kellysmells: haha.... Really... Just stop
And to Parisian... That is completely uncalled for.... Completely. I mean, can you say over the top, unnecessary, and cruel... I mean I'm all for gun rights, but maybe you should think about why this country is so screwed up with that kind of feedback. Way over the top, relax. Besides do you really want people around you to start saying things like that? Talk about antagonists.... You really have no place on this thread...

Can we just stop this nonsense.... I'm looking for a doctor recommendation and I've gotten one, out off all of that....

Does anyone who has a child and has the intention of doing well by that child have any pediatrician recommendations?

The problem is Topix is a terrible place to ask for advice. Virtually anything you ask around here will be met with some drooling idiot talking about how awful Paris is, as you've seen firsthand. The signal to noise ratio is pretty low on this forum.

But keep at it. I don't have any recommendations personally but not everyone on here is a moron so maybe you'll get a few more bites. Best of luck.

If Paris was not aweful, then I don't think you would have so many people saying it. But you just reveiled who you are.

By all means, do tell. But try and spell it correctly, dear. Even though it's a massive burden on your brain cell.

I know what you are involved in. You are also trying for a set up. Good luck with that.

Dr. Selby's office is great with infants. She has been my daughter's pediatrician since birth. Dr. Higgins is also in the office and she is very competent. We just prefer Dr. Selby - great bedside manner and takes the time to discuss medical concerns with the parent. I appreciate the time she takes to answer questions. The nurses are very nice. Also, the separate room for healthy kids is great!
Congrats on the upcoming birth of your baby and good luck:) Ignore the obviously low class bottom feeders on here. They grossly misrepresent the demographics of the area. Most people around here are decent, hard working people that try to do the right thing. Don't let the minority of inbred idiots influence your opinion.

Thank you so much :) does she offer information or do you have to bring up everything in a question to figure out what's going on/normality/what to expect/ what to look for/what to prepare for?
Because I hate when doctors do the, hmmmm, ahha, and don't tell you anything.
And thank you for elaborating on Dr. Selby and the others, I just want to make a good choice...
And thank you for the congrats!!
