Me and my best friend Laura worked at the Ranch in the mid 80's until it closed. We remember everything!! To all of our friends who worked with us...Where are you and How are you!!

I started going with my family to Peekskill Ranch when I was a child in the late 1940's to about 1953. I also went to Triple Lake Ranch in Succasunna, NJ just to name a few. I new Mo very well also Dick Tarentino who later built and owned Pine Grove Ranch, which is still operated by his brother-in-law. I went on to build Fox Hill Ranch, outside of Ellenville. I catered to a strictly singles, English riding crowed. Opened the weekend of July 4th 1965. Sex, drugs and booze, in any order and all you wanted. What a great time we all had. The ranch is still there and being run by my former water-ski instructor and do-what-ever you asked him to do Arno. I sold the place to him in 1976 and he now has a very successful Children's Riding Camp for girls; International Riding Camp.

Hi Liz, I had caught up with Laura at one point a couple years ago but lost her again....Hope all is well with you and if you are in touch with Laura, let her know I say hello. Email me sszczypinski@cfl.rr.com |
There was a fire at Pine Grove in the early 1970's. One of my friends perished in that event. Do you know where I can find or read a newspaper article about the fire? I remember reading about it, at the time, in the NY Daily News, but it seems that their website does not offer archive information. Thanks. |

I am still wondering who were those two Viet Nam vets who were kitchen porters in 1973. They were usually out of their heads in a very mellow mood and sat out on a balcony outside Texas (I think)
Also was it Andrew San Marco who was in charge of showing movies? I have a fond memory of Cool Hand Luke with Paul Newman and George Kennedy which was being shown in 1973? Anyone else remember it? |

Hey Everyone!!! I'm living in Dallas now. There's some really nice horses out here, but we're so old we can't ride them no more. Only fooling. I love to look back on the old time horses, i'll tell you we had times that we're unbelievable, especially on Blue Mountain Reservation. I'm glad i found this chatroom.
