The "City of Gold" in Georgia

#1 Mar 3, 2013
Well my wonderful neighbors now have another family who it appears moved in with them and brought with them a damn pit bull. I did have wonderful neighbors until this crowd moved in and it has been one damn issue after another. First junk cars in the back yard in less than two months of moving in. Got that issued taken care of since it was a violation of city ordinance. Half the back yard has been allowed to grow up and look like a damn jungle. The front yard was allowed to go to hell in a handbasket. The previous owner kept a great yard as he had worked in landscaping before. Now we have to put up with a fruit basket turnover of folks moving in and out of the place.

I got disgusted and put up an 8 foot privacy fence on that side to block the view. I planted new grass along the fence line, keep in mind I put the fence on my side of the line by about 2 feet. I kept the grass cut and trimmed yet one day these folks decided to cut it a bit lower. So it was explained to them that I will cut my own grass and do not need their help as they cut the grass too low and kill it. Then they start driving across my property as they have so damn many cars there they can not get in their driveway. Ok another pow wow was held with them after the wife, who appears to be the only one that damn works out of the bunch there, came over to apologize. Then low and behold they back a damn U haul truck across my yard when one of the fruit basket turn overs takes place a few days later. So I have to put up a decorative corner fence to make them have to pull in on "their property".

So a week or so ago it appears another crew moves in with the pit bull. You can look at this dog and see issues. They allow it to run loose in the neighborhood. On of my "good" neighbors has two young boys who like to play in the area across from my house. So they could be in danger from my view. Today I observe the dog loose as I am pulling into my drive way. I pull into the car port and get out of the car. I have my dog with me and am carrying him in. As I go around the rear of the car I hear a growl and see the pit bull about 10 feet away and my dog starts barking and that damn dog comes towards me growling etc. I get inside and call 911. I explain I know they normally do not respond to animal calls unless someone is bitten etc. I tell the operator what just happened and that from this point forward I will carry my gun with me when I am outside and I will kill that dog with no second thought. So they are sending Tallapoosa PD and calling animal control. While waiting get pictures and video of the dog on my driveway, yard etc and when he spots me starts his growling etc. Animal control calls and says they will be out Monday and as we are finishing TPD arrives. They observe the dog and as they approach it they get the defensive actions and at one point the dog comes toward them and is met with pepper spray. Good restraint on the officers point as he could have taken care of the matter with lead poisioning. So now the owner has been warned and animal control will warn them too. If they approach me I will not warn them I will guarantee them I will kill the dog and have no issues doing it if it comes at me, my family, my dogs(which I keep on a leash or in the fenced yard) my neighbors kids, etc. So THANK YOU to the two officers who responded today. I appreciate your control in not taking the dog out. I may give TPD hell for lack of traffic enforcement or patrolling enough in my view but by the same token I will give praise when it is deserved. Thank you to Animal Control for the follow up call. Thank you to 911 for the professional manner in taking my call.

Oh and before I get my butt jumped I do realize that "pit bulls" get a bad rap overall. I do know they can be great pets who would not act like the one I mentioned above. So let put that matter to rest.

Well a tip of the hat again to this group of folks as I had to call for their assistance since obviously my neighbors do not understand the term "lease law". Luckily one of the officers who came out last week was on duty and responded very quickly. One more strike and hopefully animal control takes the pit bull and the neighborhood will be rid of it.

My advice is to shoot the dog. Since it obviously isn't your neighbors but his mooch in laws he probably wants it gone just as bad you do. If you don't happen to have a gun go borrow his, I'm sure he at least has a. 22 that will kill a dog.
Sounds like your neighbor may have had some hard times but he is more than likely young with hardly a chance to accumulate what a man who is almost 25 years his senior has. Sounds like he has a lot on his plate with all these in-laws he is trying to help out but to no avail. From what I can garner from the internet he doesn't have any family but his kids and a man will go through a lot of hell for his kids even if it means putting up with a few moochs.
And what's this "only the wife works" stuff? I would bet the husband works 40+ hours a week on 3rd shift with a drive to Atlanta and back and watching kids during the day while his wife works. Looking at his Photobucket I see a new car that was crashed that may have set him behind. It doesn't help that your generation ruined the value of a dollar thus raising gas and food prices through the roof.....good job Moe, keep voting pure Conservative instead of studying candidates and see where that gets you. I say the same to pure Liberals so don't get you panties in a wad. Should have voted for Ron Paul. You should think in the'16 primary and vote for someone decent like Rand Paul if you want your party to have a snowballs chance in Hell.
Maybe his kids are old enough now that they won't fall down the creek bank and break their necks so the grass should stay cut to your liking. Most people like to keep the peace and I'm sure he has tried explaining to everyone to do the same the best he can. I'm sure he has never ran over your grass personally and wouldn't give a damn if you punched or shot one of the mooches that did...borrow his gun again. If I was pissed enough to moan about it on the internet I would be pissed enough to hand out an ass whipping. Just be sure of who you need to get into an altercation with, I'm sure he will point you in the right direction and laugh as you dish out your special brand of justice.
I'm sure he really doesn't want to be there and would rather be back towards Chattanooga with all his seniority but when it came down to that or his kids being 2.5 hours away and being part time dad he chose to follow his kids.

No need for any "ass whooping". As far as his family issues it is none of my business or concern. And I am sure not looking into his past by researching him and or his family, as it is also none of my concern. And politics have no bearing here. It is all about property rights and issues there in. I have not accumulated much but what I do have I take pride in and have the right to not have it damaged/destroyed. Me, my family and all in the neighborhood should not have the fear of a possible dog attack as we are out in our yards or walking our dogs on a leash as required. So thanks but no thanks for your thoughful insight and valuable research.

So you admit that you know nothing about your neighbors but you are on a forum blasting them for every transgression that falls short of perfection.

I would wager your past lives consisted of good times like taking the hose to the coloreds in Birmingham because they wanted to ride in the front of the bus or hustling Jews in a gas chamber at Auschwitz or hiding under a bridge and chasing off anyone who dares try crossing.

After reading all of your post it seems like you are very hostile people who have made a way of bullying your way through life. I hope it has worked out for you but I hope none of your neighbors let any children near you because you give off a BTK (Dennis Rader) vibe on the internet.

No wonder the dog doesn't like you. It probably senses demons so hard it breaks its chain.

I do not research my neighbors private lives. I do know and associate with some of my neighbors.I do not expect perfection from anyone. I will post what I want, when I want, where I want as long as it is factual. I will express my views of a person/situation if I so choose and everyone else has that right too. I do not think I could have held a fire hose during the Civil Rights Marches as I was only about maybe 5 or 6 at the time. Thanks for your valued input.

Not hostile at all. Never have been and never will be that is not a solution to anything. Thanks for your valued psychological profile assessment of me. Amazing, simply amazing how you were able to arrive at such a great clinical assessment from only reading my posts. Glad I got it free. I am not sure OBAMA CARE would cover that.

What the hell is a "lease law" and what does it have do do with a canine? No wonder they can't understand it...a dog should never sign a lease because dogs usually can't pay.

Would be different if you did post the truth but you didn't. I happen to know the folks and they have never had a "junk car" in the yard and if he did it would be none of your damn business. If he wants to take a week to repair a car he should have every right to.

If the man decides to open a damn soup kitchen or make it a HUD home and rent it to the trashiest family he can find your penis pleaser should stay shut unless you start making mortgage payments.

I may let him know what trash you've spewed on this site. If he's pissed you off this bad without trying imagine the stroke your going to have when he applies himself....I hope Obama-Care covers that.

If there are cars that meet the definition of "junk cars" etc under city ordinance it is the business of anyone who wishes to bring the matter to the attention of the Mayor and Council. Wow you know "him". Who could have imagined that. I have had contact with the home owners before and have no issue with them. Even warned them about a dog that used to be down the street that had bit people in an attempt to keep them and their small children safe. A bit ironic is it not?? It appears all the issue I have complained about occured by other who occupy the home with the home owners. I have nothing against any of the individuals occupying the home except when their actions impact me directly. Otherwise they may live their lives as they wish as I intend to do.
