It's kind of ironic how everyone's tune changed so quickly, after they all bashed me for saying what they are NOW saying.....which is.... loud music, adult night life, and alcohol does not equal kid friendly.
I agree April, they all did come down on you pretty hard.

I ate lunch there last week with a couple of my co-workers. It is a bit on the pricey side. I can not pay $15.00 for a bowl of soup and a salad, and that did not include a drink. If I had added chicken to my salad it would have been an additional $2.99. My friend had the burger, although she thought it was good, she said it was not $8.00 good, and her drink was an additional charge. Then you have to tip the waitress. So you are probably looking at about 20 bucks for lunch, that's just a little too much for my budget.
And, yes they definitely are all about the alcohol, the waitress we had was trying to encourage us to have a drink from the bar,we did have to return to work after our lunch break, so we declined, I don't know about everyone else, but my job doesn't allow us to drink while we are at work
I guess since she was born with a silver spoon in her mouth, and comes from old money, she thinks everyone can pay those high prices. We are all working people in this little town, we can't pay $20.00 for a simple little lunch.

Don't assume that just because this woman is in the catering business her food will be good. I worked for a catering company for nine years, basically all caterers do is go to Sam's and buy everything, dump it out of a can and heat it up. None of them do very much actual cooking.

You would never get a job with the company that I work for if you have a visible tattoo, and I think this reigns true for most of the Corporate world. Appearance is very important in certain fields, and we do have a strict code that we follow when we look to employ an individual.
I think so many young people are getting tattoos to go along with the crowd, kind of a monkey-see-monkey-do mind set, they tend to copy what everybody else is doing. They don't consider the consequences it may bring further in life.
or maybe everyone doesn't want to be in the "corporate" world.

Hi Topix....wow, I didn't even know this existed until I was told that I was put on blast! My name is Cristy Reeves. I am 37 years old, and I am your tattooed waitress/bartender at the Bricks. I work two full time jobs-one at Murata (corporate) for the past 14 years, and I moonlight down at the Bricks. Ever heard the old saying "Never judge a book by it's cover?" Well, some of you are doing just that. I am a sweet soul and would never judge any of you based on your appearance-black, white, red, purple, tattooed, not tattooed...if you would take a moment to see beyond the skin, you would see that I am a hard worker, a sweet person, and believe it or not I was Rockmart's mascot and Homecoming queen. Let's not be superficial friends....it makes you sound ignorant.

I don't think it's fair to attack the owner for higher prices - quality food costs more. Don't show your lack of class! Sure, she needs to work on some things, but overall I support her! She has a reputation to overcome from the previous place regardless of how stupid that is! Kendal is a nice, genuine person and doesn't deserve personal attacks - but she's from Polk so she should know how it is.

I agree with you on this one. We'll just eat at home, quiet atmosphere, good home cooked food, and we don't have to deal with all of this mess.

thank you Don. That comment was so enlightening. Simple minded? The opposite of my point. Clearly I may not be the one with the simple mind. My point was that ...everyone is different. The corporate America way of slacks and button ups has its positives and negatives. For example: my family member with no tattoos...high bp , etc in corporate America. Left that arena to take a little less money but a lot less "monkey see monkey do" and healthy bp, etc.. No medications. Name calling is more simple minded than thinking "outside of the box." Rude Don. Judgemental. I guess you needed a longer explanation. Those that choose to think can fill in the blanks

I hate tattoos, if I see someone with tattoos, I can't even tell you anything about what that person looks like, all I can see is nasty tattoos, and all I can think is yuck, they need to take a bath. Tattoos are just plain nasty.

You would be surprised at just how many people have tattoos and no one knows. I wonder what you would do if, at some point, someone you've known for awhile, and considered a friend, revealed to you that they had ink? Would you end your friendship? Just how shallow would that make you? And what about the person who said she had a tat of her dead baby son? Are you saying that her memorial to her son is nasty? Oh...you probably skipped over that post. It's judgmental people like you who foster hate and spread misinformation around of things you know absolutely nothing about. You make me ill.
