Fireworks

Where's the best place to go to watch fireworks in Bryson? Parking is always such an issue... Can you see them from Ingle's parking lot or some other more convenient spot?

Ingals is a great spot, so is anywhere up on Airport Hill, but that is primaraly a residental area so still might not find a place to park.

Might try parking across from the exit up on the hill at the Blue Ridge Grill (also where the new motel is being built)

My suggestion if you are going to be in town earlier in the day is to come down to the area around the post office and find a parking spot. Enjoy the days activities, my church (The Grove) is holding a free party called River Rock Freedom Fest down at Riverside Park (the park right next to the county adminstration building/courthouse) starting at 7pm. We are having free food (hot dogs, drinks, popcorn, and snocones) and our praise band is playing on the covered deck alongside the river.

Bring blankets/lawnchairs and find a good spot anywhere downtown.

How come the fireworks started at 9:40 instead of 10?

Because the fireworks show was longer this year and they chose to start them a little earlier so that family's could get home at the usual time. Plus there was alot more people in town so they wanted time for everyone to get out of town and home before midnight!

But shouldn't they then advertize that they'll start when they please instead of settig at time?
