WHAT IS THE DEAL WITH THE COACHES OF THE JAY COUNTY GIRLS MINOR LEAGUE? I KNOW OF ONE TEAM THAT HAS AT LEAST THREE GIRLS THAT ARE SITTING OUT ALMOST EVERY GAME AND THEY ARE SOME OF THE BEST PLAYERS THERE......THESE GIRLS CAN PLAY THE BASES ,HIT THE BALL , RUN, FIELD AND EVERYTHING ELSE AND YET THEY SIT OUT.... WE HAVE A FIRST BASE PLAYER THAT CANT STOP THE BALL OR EVEN CATCH IT FOR THAT MATTER, BUT YET SHE IS IN EVERY TIME......GUESS THATS WHAT YOU GET FOR BEING RELATED TO THE COACHES.....AS FOR OUR KIDS, THEY WILL NOT BE PLAYING HERE NEXT YEAR.....I FEEL YOU SHOULD PLAY THE BEST PLAYERS EVEN IF THEY ARE NOT YOUR CHILD....THESE GIRLS ARE LOSING CONFIDENCE SITTING ON THE BENCH.........ANYONE ELSE SEEING THIS?????????

YES i KNOW EXACTLY WHAT YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT. I WOULD UNDERSTAND IF THESE GIRL WERE NOT THE BEST PLAYERS OR AVERAGE. BUT WERE TALKING SOME OF THE BEST GIRLS LAST SEASON. NOT TO MENTION THE TEAM DOESNT PRACTICE. SO THE COACHES DOESNT EVEN KNOW WHAT THE GIRLS CAN DO. BUT THE RULE IS EVERY GIRL PLAYS AND EVERY GIRL SITS OUT (TO BAD IT DOESNT WORK THAT WAY)...IT TAKES AWAY FROM THE GIRLS NOT THE PARENTS. I KNOW OF ONE TEAM WHEN ONE OF THE COACHES DAUGHTERS DO SIT OUT THEY SIT WITH THERE FAMILY NOT WITH THE TEAM. THATS SOME TEAM SPIRIT NOW!! GO TEAM!!I SUPPOSE WHEN THERE ARE NO GIRLS TO PLAY SOFTBALL THEY WILL REORGANIZE AND GIVE OTHER PEOPLE A CHANCE WHO SIGN UP TO COACH...YOU KNOW THE ONES THAT ARE THERE FOR THE GIRLS AND WANT THEM TO DO BETTER. PRACTICE...PRACTICE...PRACTICE ..WE HAVE BEEN TOLD THAT ALL OUR LIVES.

oh yea! i do believe my daughter was on this exact team (green) you are speaking of last year...the coaches daughter whom couldnt even catch the ball played second the whole season and was first batter.first year player too!! My daughter has since moved up to majors girls, with probaly the best non parent coach in town. this year we won the championship 12 - 0 with only 2 outfielders sometimes one! watch out next year!! go gray! the problem we have here is the same as in any other sport in jay county , its not the ability of the athelete it is the last name of the athelete.plain and simple.and this also happens in the classroom in this county ..word up!
