I don't doubt big business is a necessity but they aren't the savior and innocent you are making them out to be. Big business does not care one iota about the common worker.

I bet the politicians who created those loopholes were paid handsomely for doing so. Stock options are one of the best bribery tools that big business can use.

You sure drink the corporate kool aid by the gallon. Did you read either link I posted?
Another post that I agree with. I don't even need to research this to know that big business only cares about profits and not people. I have seen enough of this firsthand. It's called doing more with less. Less workers that is.

In fact, in one of the corporations I worked for, we joked that you don't call fellow workers and ask "how are you today?". It's "how are your numbers today?".

Let us not forget that the ten major oil companies paid no taxes in 2010 as well. Then demand multibillions in subsides. Which republicans supported the subsides that Obama wanted to reign in those subsides is conveniently forgotten by some.

Your lack of vision is well indicated with this comment of yours. Inability to recognize how Obama is one of the first presidents to bring the issue of inequality out into the open. Bringing to the public for them to begin to observe what the price of inequality produces.
Eight million families evicted from their homes, life time savings wiped out, pensions lost, college graduates with thousands if not tens of thousands thrown to the ranks of the homeless, no jobs, etc. Most of all your concerns with the infrastructure’s corruption can be traced to this ideology of balanced inequality. Deregulated capitalism has already proven how this promotes the siphoning of wealth from the laborers productivity’s wealth to the few at the top. In vast differences in the proportions distributaries. Would you like the distributions numbers and their timeline. This will illuminate as to which of the two parties are responsible for continuously advocating the inequality policies of Austerity. Oh by the way its actually a tad longer than thirty years if you want to go even further into research. I'll just give you the numbers for the 30-40 year segement or I could provide up to 80 years and even over a century.

Hey lets take a break and go to the carnival..
A vast arena circles Washington’s politics with an atmosphere of carnival energies and a smorgasbord of various agendas, proposals, desires and opportunities. Clowns to intercept and distract the populace from the serious issues of their days. Producing nonexistent scandals or plot to undermine each other, all for the amusement of the audience. Confronting The Price Of Inequality within their lives is not to be mentioned. Distract, evade and deceive the audiences, that all is just fine, with the world, sit back and enjoy.
President Obama can be heard in the distance slightly above the din of noisy distractions. Crying out to the adults within these audiences to take care. Warning of pending storms a coming, to rain on the Foxy Pied Pipers parades.
Rolling rumbling thundering reality of globalization, arc’s of lightning technological change and in this confusion the audience’s adult pockets are being picked to satisfy the desires, of a few, of the corrupted villains, lurking in the shadows.
Foreboding words are warning of this Washington carnival. Obama declares; “Washington has taken its eyes of the ball” further addressing the audience “and I am here to say this needs to stop”!
Once upon a time “America The Land Of Opportunity” rang through out the world has been replaced with the “Myth Of America”! Education constantly eroding under the various republican storms leaving in its aftermath stifling heated humid fungus infecting “Inequality” Over a century of constant erosion has delivered US to the edge of desolation row, the worlds darken back alleys, where pickpocketer’s refine their trade. Paying their protective masters a large portion of their illicit gains, with no returns to the victims other than to have lightened their load of wealth from them.
Once again the ring master calls out the Foxy Pied Piper to lead the parade under these gathering stormy clouds. Festival enticingly the audience to forget all about your cares and woes. Who wants to build roads, power grids, schools, health centers, retirement packages, universal education for the children, and so on and so on. These are so boringly of reality. Now listen to the enchanting melodies of the Foxy Pied Pipers tune’s of A La Propaganda. Everything is all right just sit back and relax.
Master of ceremonies proudly shouts we will decrease your sovereignties laws, shackling you from enjoying our carnivals. Why pay them when you can spend here and enjoy? Come one come all. The show is about to begin. Today’s show will be the “Magic of Aristocratic Benefits” across the fairway we have the sacred hall of Kings, Emperors and their puppet show of their dictators waltz.
Price you may ask? Fear not put on credit and we will collect it at a later time with a slight interest charge of 400%. Out of work? Don’t worry we can surely come to some arrangements for your desolation. Come work for us. We have accommodations for your picking down on desolation row. Where the ever increasing populace whistles their tunes of “ Lord don’t call me, for I owe my soul to the companies store”!

As long as we do not address the inequality in this nation and those that create it to increase it, your comment is moot. Here is a simple example of how inequality is produced.
Wall Mart Demands Inequality..
How do they do it? Here is one example of how inequality is promoted. Location Washington.
1} Get A politician; Mayor Vincent C Gray worked very hard to get Walmart to come to town. His city council was not as receptive. City Council will force large profitable stores of $1 Billion more in profits to share their wealth with their laborers. Minimum wage of $8.25 would be adjusted to $12.50 per hour. Walmart threatens to shut down 6 of their planned construction sites for their Walmart’s expansions.

2} Testimony from desperate unemployed; “Those big people in government, they don’t understand my situation,” said Fred Reaves, 45, who is unemployed and said he would gladly take a job at the current city minimum,$8.25. Mr. Reaves goes on to say
“Eight-something, it’ll motivate you to start going to work,”“You can start paying some bills. It will help you to come off public assistance.”
A one chair barber said he would not hesitate to demand his daughter to get a job at Walmart at the lower wage.

3} Seek area with tax luring benefits; Councilman Mr. Orange opposes Walmart . What was once desperate times, seeking to lure businesses to the area is no longer the case. Minimum wage of $8.25 will no longer support a basic living standard within the cities booming growth it is experiencing. Walmart promotes improvised conditions for their laborers that are required to seek subsidized living benefits, food stamps, welfare, etc., within a city that is advancing faster than the minimum wage can afford. Mr. Orange cites the 2012 ,$469 Billion revenue, with a $17 Billion profit margin of Walmart.
Lure that attracted Walmart, is decades old and is now open to reform and negotiations.

4} Rally support; Mayor Gray vows to veto the Councils negotiations with Walmart. The desperately improvised are paraded in the media.
Suppressing the local businesses voices for leveling the playing field and the local officials that warn of the consequences of having their citizens mired in the poverty that is produced by Walmart’s low income pay for laborers. Eligibility of the improvised to be eligible for Medicaid , food stamps and housing assistance. Essentially taxpayers will be subsidizing the Walmart’s poverty promoting tactics.

A sliver of enlightenment is demonstrated by Willie Ford, 39, a carpenter, scoffed at the notion that Walmart could not afford to pay $12.50.“Come on, they’re going to make beaucoup money from this area,”… Mr. Orange councilman says they are negotiating from a position of strength . Denying inroads of Walmart’s efforts, to another large city to promote their poverty policies.

You are an excellent example of typical a bumper sticker mentally handicap, with no substance or facts.
Senator Elizabeth Warren challenges the centrist democrats on the issues of inequality.
Obama concurs with, when he said “ BUT- and here’s the big but- I’m here today to tell you that we’re not there yet” Obama is expanding his comment from his original financial text to illuminate us to the dangers of The Price Of Inequality as the wealthy are doing better while the middle class is degenerating and the roles of the impoverished are escalating.
Liberal left contend, that with Detroit’s bankruptcy and the degeneration of class mobility is so severe that it is the moral imperative for the democrats to become identified as the champion against austerity’s inequality policies of the republicans, as well as, from some of their own centrist democrats. Stressing that the ever increasing Price Of Inequality will be a crippling cancerous growth that will terminate the American way of life.
Issues on gun reforms, gays rights, and immigration have faded into a cohesive unified democratic comprehension, of the quality it promotes to their progressive beneficial nature. Divisions as late as 1990 on these issues have been laid to rest. Now they will debate how best to advance their progressive beneficial ideologies to serve their constituents, on this disparity of inequality.
Republican party is presently divided. Traditionalist conservatives distancing themselves from their ideologue extremist. Exposing potential fatal flaw for their bid for the 2016 elections. Republican’s continuous austerity policies will be exposed to attack. Resulting in a common ground for the democrats to rally upon. Progression against inequality will be a favorable political discourse, for the emerging candidates and their pursuits to enforce agendas that discredits increasing inequality, will be compatible with the majority of the nations populace. Resentment of the overwhelming abuses of the 1% towards their fellow citizens have been exposed. Austerity through out the world is presently degenerating, in its acceptance, as a viable means of addressing the issues of inequality.
A rising champion for the middle class consumer and its laborers’, Elizabeth Warren. Former Harvard professor and the architect for a consumer protection agency has won the senior senators seat as a freshman for Massachusetts, in the 2012 elections. Austerity supporters shutter at the mention of her name. Fluent in the jargon of the Wall Street and too big to fail banks. Exposing and illuminating the flaws that presently exist within them.
Two issues she is addressing; 1] the plight of our college students loans and the enormous debt they shackle our graduates. Elizabeth contends that students loans should be at the same interest rate {0.75%} that the Federal Reserve extends to the bank. She voted against the July bipartisan compromise on the Federal student loan-irritating some of her senior democratic colleagues. Students loans will rank up there as comparable to the what the draft was for our generation.
2] Reviving the dormant Glass Stegall as an issue, that present senior democrats have been reluctant to review. Demanding we return to the regulations that existed from the F.D.R. administration. Those regulations stopped the cycle of up and down bust of the banking industries. Waterdown of their provisions, by the republicans once again began to show the up down cycle returning, until its total repeal in 1999 which reignited the failures of banks.
Hillary Clinton / Elizabeth Warren ticket will be a most formidable political contender-ship for the 2016 elections. Unifying a progressive leadership advocating reforms to inequality.
