earlier this summer a motorcyclist and his girlfriend passenger were being pursued at a high rate of speed by a Bryan police officer. The motorcyclist lost control, wrecked, and died. His girlfriend survived.
The Bryan polce officer should have been punished for pursuing this cyclist at a high rate of speed. The officer had no reason to pursue them at dangerous speeds over a minor infraction of the law. He should be held for vehicular manslaughter

Your commentary makes no sense. It was well reported that this individual was drunk, as proven by the blood test. He was attempting to run from the law therefor he was completely at fault. Using your logic you seem to want it to be alright to break the law and then be dumb enough to blame it on others. You sound just like all the other low life, lame a ss criminals out there. They all claim it is not my fault when, in FACT, it was their own fault.

First off you don't even have the facts straight. The woman died the man lived and was highly intoxicated. The officer did attempt to stop the motorcycle but that was all. He turned on the lights and the cyclist took off. The two people and the motorcycle were found later that night. If it was a " high speed chase" they would have been found right off. The only blame should be placed on the young man who chose to not only drink and drive but then to try and avoid an OVI by taking off with another person on back. I love how people with no facts always choose to blame police officers for things that involve criminals. Police are not the bad guys. They put their lives on the line to help people I just wish they'd get a little bit of respect for that. It's unbelievable that they get blamed for trying to stop a drunk driver because he flees and crashes. WOW.

Ya know I totally agree the driver was trashed and he chose to drive at a high rate of speed the sad thing is that the woman died. Ya know he was lucky but doesnt deserve to go ahead with his life as if nothing happened . Yes she chose to ride with him and she probably didn't know he was going to try and out run the cops. really that is the chance you take when you drink and drive or chose to be a passenger on a bike or in a car with a drunk driver. Either way that choice was not the cops. Grow up and take responsibility for yor own actions. After all drinking and driving is against the law. Chances are when you fight the law the law wins.....

The entire situation happened because of one selfish drunk idiot. What a shame.
