Please everyone do what you can to help find this young girl. Talk it up with your friends, neighbors, family co-workers etc. We cannot let this happen to our females in Austin Texas. I cannotimagine the agony her family is going through. Didn't America's Most Wanted feature Roxanne a couple of weeks ago?She is featured on their website. Please everyone go take a look and at least pray for resolution and for her to come home safely.
Something really needs to be done about all the criminal activity in North Austin. Seems there is a major crime committed every week now lately. And major drug busts. Surely we can find this girl.

Anybody with suggestions about how to help the police find Roxanne please post it. Any law enforcement people reading this forum can you do some digging and push this along? We have a missing girl from Round Rock (Rachel Cooke) and now we have Roxanne Paltauf. This is unacceptable. As we go about our daily lives, there is are young ladies missing and that has wrecked the serenity of their families and loved ones. Please do all you can to familiarize yourself with the case and if you have ANY information, however small it may be, lease call APD immediately. It takes a village to raise a child they say, then let all of Austin put their efforts into finding Roxanne, just 19. Just try something-anything. Especially law enforcement personnel-please spread the word. Use the resources the afforded you in your line of work. What if it was your family member? You would want the whole world to stop what they are doing and focus on finding Roxanne. At the very least, pray for God's help in locating Roxanne. Any suggestions to help this case also please pass along. A lot of smart, saavy people live in Austin and we should use that to our advantage.

How about you truck drivers out there-you know the area of Rundberg and IH 35 well-near St. John's etc. Many of you have spent the night in area otels-did you see anything-ever see her? Yoiu can remain anonymous-we need a break here. Think back and think hard. Did you see or hear anything-she is missing from the Bidget Inn- maybe you have stayed there. Please help. Any kind of tip will be beneficial. Can you ask around-spread the word on your CB radios or whatever? You truckers are almost privy to better information that the police.
Also you CAB DRIVERS! Anyone remember picking this girl up for a fare -can you check your logs from that time-July last year-ask your bosses-they probably have computer records. And you motel and hotel personnel-from the top to the the bottom-please contact past employess etc. SOmeone had to have seen something. Please study her photos-also you CAPITAL METRO BUS DRIVERS-maybe you had a camera on board-maybe you can think about that route during that time-again, ask your management to search records. PLEASE HELP. This is a community effort. We can whittle this down in practical terms to help find her. Restaurant ownes-ask your waitstaff-and no-one will get in trouble or anything-if you know ANYTHING you can remain completely anonymous. How about the check cashing places-they have cameras-and gas stations too. Please please do something-even if you feel foolish or uncomfortable doing that-it is worth a try. This is a humanbeing we are talking about. She deserves nothing but the best efforts. No-one shouldjust sit around and blow this off. We all have a responsibility to try and help this family-please. What if it were you? Please get involved. Just try. You never know-you may be the one to uncover a lucky break.

LE needs to solve this. For whatever reason Austin Police Dept has just let this slip away. Maybe the person of interest (b/f) is a "friend" of theirs. There is a huge amount of potential evidence that they just let go by..interviewing the b/f, and his ex-g/f, the motel room, the motel staff, the survalence videos, the person who had her ID, the car the ID was found in, investigating the 300+ cell phone calls after she was missing, etc..etc..etc. APD has done nothing but ignore this case. The spotlight needs to shine on this Louis Walls guy.

She went missing the week of the July 4th holiday-think back, everyone-to last 4th of July and the days afterwards-maybe that will jog someone's memory. Check out the timeline and read the details on the case at Americas Most Wanted-please ry to help in any way possible. Talk it up-make it a priority to talk about this case for the next week-please. We need help here.

Unbelieveable! This case is so solveable-they have the names of people who last saw her? I don't get it! Just the phone calls alone can help solve this. This is really outrageous. Maybe we need some rookie cops on the case who are not jaded and who are fresh and eager to really help the citizens. How can a 19 year old girl go missing and the circumstances jsut be blown off? From what I have read, Roxanne had a job abd was pursuing her education and had just recently gotten a cewll phone. Everyone of those phone calls on that list after she went missing needs to be investigated -all leads followed. Yes, it takes a lot of work buttht is your job APD! You get PAID for it. It is the grueling tedious tasks that solve saces like this. Go back and re-interview-again and again and again. Take note of changing stories-follow up every lead, no matter how small. Footwork! Phone calls-did did did. Pressure on tose involved. Who is this 'friend' of Walls in possession of Roxanne's drivers license??? SHould APD should have goten a search warrant right then and there?
Checked for DNA in that car?

This is one of the most beautiful, inspiring songs that I have ever known.

This song is for you, dearest Roxanne.

"I Hope You Dance" by Lee Ann Womack

I hope you never lose your sense of wonder
You get your fill to eat but always keep that hunger
May you never take one single breath for granted
God forbid love ever leave you empty handed
I hope you still feel small when you stand beside the ocean
Whenever one door closes I hope one more opens
Promise me that you'll give fate the fighting chance
And when you get the choice to sit it out or dance

I hope you dance
I hope you dance

I hope you never fear those mountains in the distance
Never settle for the path of least resistance
Living might mean taking chances but they're worth taking
Lovin' might be a mistake but it's worth making
Don't let some hell bent heart leave you bitter
When you come close to selling out reconsider
Give the heavens above more than just a passing glance
And when you get the choice to sit it out or dance

I hope you dance
(Time is a wheel in constant motion always)
I hope you dance
(Rolling us along)
I hope you dance
(Tell me who wants to look back on their years and wonder)
I hope you dance
(Where those years have gone)

I hope you still feel small when you stand by the ocean
Whenever one door closes I hope one more opens
Promise me that you'll give faith the fighting chance
And when you get the choice to sit it out or dance

Dance
I hope you dance
I hope you dance
(Time is a wheel in constant motion always)
I hope you dance
(Rolling us along)
I hope you dance
(Tell me who wants to look back on their years and wonder)
I hope you dance
(Where those years have gone)
(Tell me who wants to look back on their years and wonder)
I hope you dance
(Where those years have gone)

Come on you guys, I know some of the people from the Rundberg area are reading this board! If you are worried about saying anything, just call anonomously, you could even get a reward...even if you remain anonomous. They have a system where you get a number and no one needs to know who you are. Talk to your neighbors in that area. See what bits and pieces you can find out. No matter how small you think it is, it could be the tip that breaks this wide open. Do the right thing! You need to do this for your own kids, they see how you handle this and it builds character and integrity. Not to mention...the person that did this is still out there and maybe your kid is next!
Call CRIMESTOPPERS TIPS Hotline - 512-472-TIPS (8477) OR 1-800-893-TIPS (8477) for Roxy...and your own kids future.

And to Walls' ex-girl friend, I know you are reading this board too! How are you going to live with yourself knowing that you could have helped but didn't want to get involved...and then something bad happens to someone else. How are you going to explain that to your kids??? Life is not hard, all you have to do is get a job and don't kill anybody. And protecting someone that chooses to hurt others is not a sin of ommission...it is a direct act, knowingly causing harm by not telling what you know.
Please help bring this to an end. Don't let anyone else get hurt.
Sometimes your entire life is defined by just a few minutes of doing the right or wrong thing.

If you need help, message me here. I will not betray you.
God Bless you all in your dreams tonight.

Hello all,
Ok I am on a new mission,
I have been checking into a advertising billboard in the Rundberg--IH35 , austin tx area.
This to put a Roxannes name and picture out there for all to see.
I have calls in with a couple of companies, Lamar and Reagan, billboards
to get prices .
Yes it is very expensive
Approx===$1,100.00 for the art work and $6000.00 for the space and time.
The reason that it is so pricey is the location
I am at my witts ends and continue to come with ideas in finding OUR ROXANNE
AKA TEAM ROXANNE.
This could also be a start in helping other families of missing love ones
maybe start a organzation.Which i have no idea how to go about it, but it is a start

I believe that The Good Lord has put this in my heart, my purpose,

So Please get back with me on ideas, suggestion and comments on this matter

Through God ,All thing are possible

Thank you
God Bless and Love
Elizabeth Harris and Family

18 Wheel Angels Campaign

----------

Roxanne is on Project Jason's current 18 Wheel Angel campaign. A special poster has been made for her and can be downloaded and printed for placement. More information about the program, and the link for the poster can be found here:

Project Jason - Assistance for families of the missing

In addition to the campaign, Roxanne is also featured in a trucking publication called Through the Gears. This free magazine is distributed in truck stops nationwide.

Through the Gears is one of JB Scott's many publications. In partnership with Project Jason, they feature one missing person per month. You can pick up your free copies at a local truck stop, but if it's far from you, you may want to call and ask if they carry that magazine. These are NOT with the regular for purchase magazines. At my truck stop, they are in a special rack outside the main truck stop door. At another truck stop, they are in a hallway between the store and the trucker's lounge.

Through the Gears has a circulation of about 150,000.

You can also see the current campaign information on this JB Scott webpage: 18 Wheel Angels

We hope this helps in the search for Roxanne.
