Only cowards and morons would type this BS on a forum of a soldier that ended his life because he could not deal with the war and what life waited for him here. If I had to defend people like you and their freedom, I think it would make me sick of life too.Realist wrote:

Guess not. What a waste - although he did volunteer.
Guess tihs happens when you believe politicians and
sign up for the military.
Hey bro just cause we volunteered doesnt mean we believe the politicians. Some of us got to do what we got to do. If this means joing the armed services to support ourselves or families or simply cant afford to go to college. Stop speaking on behalf of us. Just because we are over there fighting doesnt mean we believe in the war. Its called a job and someone has to do it.
If it's just a job, then stop whining when one of you gets DEAD.(The downside of that particular job.) Nobody forces you to join the military!

You are the biggest dumb a&( of them all. I lost my son in the war. Don't think you are going to tell me anything I don't know. Kiss my behind!!!

the poor guy had his kids taken away by this evil woman, i think it's a little unfair to blame this completely on the war.

I can say that I personally knew Hendon when out in Fort Dix NJ, training for our tour together. I know that he was converting to Islam because of his wife, and he did not feel like it was appropriate for a muslim to kill another muslim. His "wonderful" wife pressured him to drop out of the military because of this religious practice. Not even two weeks into our tour, he filed to become a contientous objector. After extensive questioning, he was removed from Iraq and discharged from the army. In those two weeks, our unit never saw action. We worked in a support unit, and Hendon was never given a duty rotation. I spoke to him before he left, and he stated his wife was pressuring him to leave. She is the reason for his untimely death. Her taking his kids and divorcing him caused him to kill himself. NOT IRAQ. Give the political banter all you want, it is our right as citizens. But don't chalk this up to war and the army. It was a psycho lady who controlled his life, took his children and left him. THE END.

I think it would have helped if he has a squared away unit we were in the same platoon my squad had an 82% falure rate in standard training.
