You keep saying this but who is it that goes to Stans on Council? I have been the last 3 weekends and have seen no one from the city there. In fact Stan was complaing about the hard time they have been giving him. If you know something please let us know. Or are you just starting trouble?

I was visiting with friends in Camden County yesterday and they took my husband and I to this ouside bar and grill called Capt Stans to supposedly have a little fun. Im here to tell you that was not the kind of fun I had in mind.When we arrived there was a band playing,who by the way was quite good. But to my amazment there were children, even toddlers running around,some unattended, amongst the crowd of clearly intoxicated people including the owner of this place, Stan. As I looked around I saw photos and wall hangings along with ornaments of womans breasts and carvings of women that I found inapproprate around children.I even saw a child carrying a beer bottle. Shame on Stan and shame on Camden County for allowing this place to operate in such a manner.Subjecting children to alcohol and pornography is immoral and I thought was a illegal. And shame on the parents of these children if they think that this activity is appropriate for children. Oh and lets not forget the food. Can you say food poison. Is there a such thing as health inspector in Camden County.

If you think Stan's is bad, you should stay away from Colby's. It is twice as bad. It is a shame there is no where to eat in Woodbine.

Yesterday Captain Stan's was packed. There was a group playing music and telling stories etc. The group is regularly featured on NPR. People from all over Camden County were there and were enjoying themselves. I go to Captain Stan's on occasion, and while it isn't what you'd call "fine dining", I have never had a bad meal or service there. People go there to have fun. I you don't like the place, don't go. Stay the hell out of Woodbine and go somewhere else to look for something to bitch and moan about.

I like Captain Stans. The service is good and the people there are friendly. I didn't expect 5 star cuisine. Good grief it's a BBQ place. If you like BBQ, some good music and friendly folks then I it's a great place. AND it's locally owned and operated. SO, if you don't like it don't go. Carolina- Who are you to Judge? I think you exaggerated your experience and you should stay up north.

The music has to be controlled. The last 3 nights have been horrible. My 4 yo and 10 yo cannot go to sleep due to the constant bass thumping. I have tried calling him to no avail. Is anyone else having the same difficulty.
