I feel so awful for Christopher Barrios. He did not deserve what happened to him. That child killer does not deserve tax payer money to 'defend' his heinous actions.

This same judge who let the sexual molester out in the first place seems as if he might want to let these monsters go on a technicality. It would not surprise me one bit .

Now he wants to delay the trial. This judge has some issues and I feel as if he might be very lieant on sexual predators for some reason…

It is so sad that these people have so many rights, while they didn't give Christopher any.

I am sure the family was looking for closure on May. Now they will have to wait many more months.

May God continue to Bless the ENTIRE family of Christopher Michael Barrios Jr.

I so agree! I can't believe the family has to wait until September. What a let down. I too was looking forward for the trial. I plan to come for the trial and still will do so once Sept. arrives.

Superior Court Judge Stephen Scarlett ruled Wednesday that defense lawyers for suspected killer David Edenfield have not received adequate state funding to pay for experts and investigators in the case.

My God!!! Why do they need need an expert to testify in court what is already known? Those monsters shouldn't be allowed to use any more state money than they already have. We are paying to allow these creeps to live! Kill them! Kill them slowly if need be, just get those f*ckers off of this earth!

While I understand agree with y'all frustrations, I think the judge is doing the right thing. This case will automatically go to appeal because it is a capital case. ANY little thing that the defense can use to promote the notion that the trial was not fair will cause the appeals to drag on even longer. As much as it ucks, a little patience in the short term will help immensely in the long term.

Of course, a whole lot of time and money could be saved if the prison officials would just put the Edenfields in with the general population.

you know after talking to a lawyer friend of mine he said something similar. He said the judge is mostly likely trying to cover all bases so these creeps can get what they deserve, a needle in the arm... And how ironic that the edenfield will get death in a more humane way more than what they afforded this child.

Oh I agree, TG. I get really upset when I hear about death row inmates filing appeals that death by lethal injecton is cruel and inhumane. Yeah, coz beinf raped and choked to death is real humane. yep.

Scott, I think that would be too good for these animals. I just can't imagine what that baby must have gone through. I say put all of them in the male prison and allow ALL of the inmates to have their way with them. Yes even the female if anyone would want to touch that witch.

I don't know if I have ever heard of something this horrific.

Y'all so realize we have a little thing called the Constitution in this country right? Like it or not, it applies to everyone, even the Edenfields of the world. It is what separates us from shitholes like North Korea and Darfur.

Yes we do realize we have a constitution. This thread is merely a wish list! I think most of us are talking about what we would like to see happen not what we expect to happen. What we expect to happen is for the people who are guilty of this horrible crime to be punished for what they did. And the punishment should fit the crime, and the only thing that would be "fittin" is for these monsters to be put to death. If the jury can't see that, and I'm sure they can, then something is seriously wrong with the men and women in this country, and we have more problems then we realize.

Gotcha SFS. Believe me, nothing would make me happier than to see the Edenfields turned out with the general prison population for a while.
