Wrong, he is just using his common sense for a change, maybe trying to make up a little for ruining the economy. Its the RIGHT thing to do. You want to call it an amnesty bill when its not, that make you feel smart? Every letter you type points to the obvious conclusion as to why you dislike Mexicans. You know why and so does anyone with common sense. They go to work and work from sun up to sun down doing things Anglo's won't do anymore. They have built themselves into a community, they go to school, to church, raise their kids, pay taxes and even fight in the military for this country, and you just can't stand that.
Why would you say it is not an amnesty bill when everything points to it being exactly that. They refuse to put in an amendment that demands the border fence be completed (among other things) before any legalization begins - why, if they truly intend to enforce the border. The CBO itself said it would reduce illegal immigration by no more than 25%-(though now they are saying 33-50%). Do you really consider our border secure if the VERY BEST this bill can come up with is reducing illegal immigration by 50%?
And never forget, while it IS a fundamental part of a nation's sovereignty and security to have an enforceable border and while this country cannot keep incurring the cost of illegal immigrants, the bottom line for our security is that the world now has Islamic terrorists who wish to do us harm - a secure border is a no brainer - stopping illegal immigration is a "side benefit".

I will always respect Bush because I believe he is a decent man who believed what he was doing was best for the country that he truly does love, unlike our current president who can't wait for any opportunity to blame this country for something.(and "fundamentally transform" it into something our Founders would not recognize) Unfortunately, he was not the fiscal conservative the country needed and he was squishy on issues like immigration.
Speaking of our Founders, apparently Obama doesn't like the term "Founding Fathers" - I guess he thinks "Founding Founders" - yes, he actually said it - is more "inclusive". Sorry, Mr President, it just makes you sound like an idiot. And that's how the administration is referring to them as well.

Great post.
In the New America, a/k/a the "Homeland", where Karl Rove and Gang of UberElite, and the Political and Religious Taliban, push the philosophy that "Liberal", "Moderate", and "Progressive" are "evil" - defensiveness reigns supreme.
Having studied history, religious and political, and having visited some 30 countries over the years, the "Homeland" is closer to fascism now than at time since the Civil War.
As billionaire and patriot Warren Buffett stated, there is an ongoing war against the Middle Class - and the Middle Class is losing.
But as long as working Americans keep supporting those take away their political rights and economic protections its really the working class devouring itself.
Just keep voting for the same people, under the same circumstances, and act surprised when you obtain the same results.
I ignore most of your posts as they are full of nonsense for the most part, but please do us all a favor and learn the definition of fascist and use it properly - which means you will stop using it at all.(or defend your use of it with examples, please.)

You have a point.

My friends and acquaintances from around the world simply cannot grasp how ridiculously ignorant Americans can be, how we cling so tenaciously to the most expensive, least efficient, medical care delivery system ever devised, when the rest of the industrialized world has for so long, demonstrate how to do it right.

As a friend in Costa Rica said to me "You Americans not only do stupid and self-defeating things, which is expected, but, more fascinatingly, you actually are proud of it."

You no doubt are a mexican. This bill is the same thing Reagan did in '86, which is grant millions of criminal illegal drug trafficking mexicans amnesty. He did it then with the promise that he'd secure the border afterwards and he lied. It was just a way to destroy the young poor black youth with crack and to depress wages for his corp. buddies. It did nothing but more than triple the "estimate" of criminal illegal drug/human trafficking mexican scum in this country. It will be the end of our great nation if it's allowed to happen again. It will be another civil war if it happens again and this country will be torn apart. I am starting to think that would not be a bad thing. This country is split down the middle when comes to beliefs and values; so why not split it up? Then all the queers and mexicans can marry each other and live happily ever after. While the rest of us would not have to be subjected to your poison and perversions of our values and morals. I think it will happen. It is the only way to rid ourselves you and your kind. If somebody reads this in power, please talk to our Generals of our armed forces and tell them this is enough. We Americans are tired of watchin our country be given away, our youth destroyed by drugs, and our morals and religious beliefs trampled on. Enough is Enough. We need our military to rise up and liberate us from this dictatorship that is in place. The American citizens have had enough and would back the military if they did so. I think anyway. Please don't wait till our country is a third world country like Mexico before you try to rise up, because it will be to late. Oh I think Bush is tryin to finish what he started and is surely to God not helpin at all. Dummy.

Do you think that you've overstated the situation just a bit...

http://useconomy.about.com/od/tradepolicy/p/I...
In 2012, total U.S. trade with foreign countries was $4.9 trillion. This consisted of $2.194 trillion in exports and $2.734 trillion in imports of both goods and services. This makes the U.S. is the world's third largest exporter, after the European Union (EU) and China, and the world's second largest importer, after the EU.
What Does the U.S. Export?:

More than two-thirds of U.S. exports are material goods ($1.547 trillion). One-third of all goods exported ($527 billion) is capital equipment. The largest sub-categories are industrial machines ($46 billion), commercial aircraft ($45 billion), and semiconductors ($42 billion). Capital equipment also includes medical equipment, telecommunications and computer equipment.

Another third is industrial supplies and equipment ($501 billion). The largest sub-categories are fuel oil ($60 billion), petroleum products ($57 billion) and chemicals ($35 billion). Industrial supplies also includes plastics, gold and steel.

Nine percent of U.S. goods exports are automobiles ($146 billion).

The fourth largest category is consumer goods ($182 billion). This includes pharmaceuticals ($48 billion), cell phones ($22 billion) and gem diamonds ($18 billion).

The smallest category ($133 billion) is foods, feeds and beverages. This includes soybeans ($26 billion), meat/poultry ($18 billion) and corn ($10 billion).(Source: U.S. Census, Exhibit 7. Exports by End-Use Category, 2012)

The remaining third of exports are services ($632 billion). Travel passenger services was the largest single category, at $128 billion. Next was royalties and license fees, at $121 billion. Passenger fares totaled $40 billion, while other transportation was $43 billion. Government and military contracts was $20 billion. The rest was miscellaneous private services, which includes financial services.(Source: U.S. Census, Exhibit 3, U.S. Services by Major Category -- Exports, 2012).

Wow !

Union County Nursing Home - A Hotbed of Socialism !

"Union County Nursing Home, of Blairsville, Georgia accepts patients covered by Medicare and Medicaid"

Wow - Medicare and Medicaid - two if the most socialist government run medical care programs on the face of the Earth - here in Union County.

"This nursing home has 150 beds making the facility larger than the Georgia state average of 111.53."

Wow - it's even worse than thought - Union County's hotbed of socialism is larger than the state average - we are worse socialist than most !

"Also, 147 residents at Union County Nursing Home, are more than than the average state nursing homes population of 95.42, and is more full at 98% than the 86.45% occupied average Georgia nursing home."

Damn - It's even worse - Union County residents keep their hotbed of socialism fuller than other places' hotbeds of socialism.

Sorry BigDave1, as usual we all know that the history of the modern world only began in January of 2009, course the events of the pre-modern world did have a spillover effect as we can see in the chart at this link...

http://data.bls.gov/timeseries/LNS14000000

Oh my gosh, look what started to creep up in 2007, what in the world was going on....

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Great_Recession
According to the U.S. National Bureau of Economic Research (the official arbiter of U.S. recessions) the recession began in December 2007 and ended in June 2009.[16][17] US mortgage-backed securities, which had risks that were hard to assess, were marketed around the world. A more broad based credit boom fed a global speculative bubble in real estate and equities, which served to reinforce the risky lending practices.[18][19]

The bad financial situation was made more difficult by a sharp increase in oil and food prices. The emergence of sub-prime loan losses in 2007 began the crisis and exposed other risky loans and over-inflated asset prices. With loan losses mounting and the fall of Lehman Brothers on September 15, 2008, a major panic broke out on the inter-bank loan market. As share and housing prices declined, many large and well established investment and commercial banks in the United States and Europe suffered huge losses and even faced bankruptcy, resulting in massive public financial assistance.

Obamacare will be dead in the water, if amnesty is granted to illegal immigrants. Just like the queers gettin married opened the border up to more queers to come over here by marriage. When they grant these 11 milllion illegals amnesty. Then they're whole dang family can come over here and according to that moron Jeb Bush they have very large families. These illegal 11 million immigrants will quickly turn in to 50 or 60 million virtually overnight if this garbage bill is passed into law as a whole and not broken up. We followed blindly behind Reagan and Bush only to now watch as Obama attempts to finish what they started. It is not a hate thing or racial thing to not want to give your country away to people that hate you. Americans have stayed quiet for to long. Most Americans are disgusted with the way are government is run by both parties. Most just think it's pointless to fight the government, because they're just too big. I don't think this is the Country that George Washington imagined, nor do I think he would have stood for it.
