I believe he had bad(incorrect) intelligence. A president's effectiveness is only as good as the intelligence he receives. Do I agree with the war. No. Do I THINK a majority of Americans supported it at first? Yes. I think we were all so shaken, angry and in shock in regard to 911, we wanted someone to pay for hurting our country. Do I think Bush intentionally lied to the American people? No. I think he depended on his military intelligence. I would HATE to have on my conscience what Bush assuredly has on his. I can't imagine anyone being able to live peacefully with that.<quoted text>Well make up your mind girl. I'm not a mind reader. ;) If I may ask..... Do you believe Bush lied to the American people to invade Iraq? Yes or no question.*curious*

Apples to apples...
Bush 2,000,000/96=20,833 per month
Obama 1,400,000/42=33,333 per month
Or it could be said that Obama is at 70% of Bushes' effort in 43.75% of the time, some might even conclude that Obama is out performing Bush in this area.
#16905 Jul 1, 2013
So, the President is not responsible for the caliber of work performed by those advising him. And it's just a shame that we, as a nation, flew off the handle in an emotional and irrational fashion without giving due consideration and sober reflection to putting our fellow human beings in harms way.
Thank you for these insights.

That's not the only area Obama is performing in.
I see I caught a big fish. I was just sitting here waiting on a post like this sucker.
Size of gross debt Fed Acct debt
Bush 8 years $10.6 trillion $4.3 trillion
Obama 4 years $16.4 trillion $4.9 trillion

Obama meets with Mandela's family in South Africa
By Laura Smith-Spark and Faith Karimi, CNN
updated 11:44 AM EDT, Sat June 29, 2013
CNN)-- U.S. President Barack Obama met Saturday with family members of ailing South African statesman Nelson Mandela and spoke by telephone with Mandela's wife as she maintains a vigil by his bedside.
However, he and first lady Michelle Obama will not visit the anti-apartheid icon at the hospital "out of deference to Nelson Mandela's peace and comfort, and the family's wishes," the White House said.
"I expressed my hope that Madiba draws peace and comfort from the time that he is spending with loved ones, and also expressed my heartfelt support for the entire family as they work through this difficult time," Obama said after meeting with Mandela family members in Johannesburg. Madiba is Mandela's clan name.
Those present for the meeting at the Nelson Mandela Foundation included Mandela's two daughters, Makaziwe and Zindzi, and eight of his grandchildren.
"I have drawn strength from the support received from President Barack Obama, Michelle, Malia and Sasha," said Mandela's wife, Graca Machel, of her phone conversation with the U.S. president.

When shown that Obama is outperforming Bush in the area of illegal deportations, none would expect you to admit to that demonstratible fact, such an admission would be so out of character. Instead, as expected, your response follows a time honored tradition, when "caught" in an outlandish lie change the subject.

A Right Wing Wacko is anyone who is sufficiently indoctrinated, or just plain stupid enough, to believe the war in Iraq was anything other than a plan to make Bush popular, and the corporations $ Trillions in profits.
A true conservative would suppory starting a war, spending $6 Trillions Dollars, getting 5,000 American troops killed, making millions more enemies for America, strengthening Muslim Terrorists, and taking power from an American pawn we already owned- all because a lying politician wants to milk out the last buck in profit possible at taxpayers' expense before they leave power.
A Right Wing Wacko is anyone sufficiently indoctrinated, or just plain stupid enough, to believe the UnPatriot Act is anything other than a Fascist shredding of the Constitution, that puts every American at the mercy of the government and private corporations, that now know every American's most intimate secrets, and can use them in any way they chose, anytime they chose, to manipulate and control anyone they chose.
A Right Wing Wacko is anyone sufficiently indoctrinated enough, or just plain stupid enough, to believe the president has the authority to kidnap, torture, and assassinate whoever he wants, whenever he wants. My God, even Khrushchev at least pretended he didn't believe that.
A Right Wing Wacko is anyone sufficiently indoctrinated, or just plain stupid enough, to have watched us cut the taxes on the rich and corporations numerous times, deregulated businesses to a ludicrous point, destroyed unions, and continuously devoted our treasure to the War Department- all with devastating results for the Middle Class - then refuse to learn that these policies are devastating to the Middle Class.
A Right Wing Wacko is anyone sufficiently indoctrinated, or just plain stupid enough, to attack Obama as a "liberal", when in reality he has either endorsed and continued all Bush's major policies. A true conservative understands Obama is Bush (with a brain).
A Right Wing Wacko is anyone sufficiently indoctrinated, or just plain stupid enough, to not understand they are insignificant and powerless alone, that businesses and corporations exist to use them as mercilessly as possible,(as is their legal obligation), and only through joining together with others in their position can they avoid being crushed beneath the boots of the rich and powerful.
A Right Wing is anyone sufficiently indoctrinated, or just plain stupid enough, not to understand that a farmer in Union County, Georgia has more common interests with a black, welfare mother in Atlanta, trying to raise 7 kids, than they do with the Koch Brothers, George Bush, Willard Romney, or Saxby Chambliss.
The true conservatives on this site already know who they are. I am a true conservative.
Eisenhower and William Buckley, both true conservatives would be attacked as bleeding heart socialist "Libtards" today because they were true conservatives.
Teddy Roosevelt was a true conservative and imagine how Right Wing Wackos would attack him as a liberal socialist commie when he tried to regulate businesses, socialize National Parks, and invest in America.
I hope that helps.

Typical Right Wing Wacko logic
RWW Bush creates a $1.4 Trillion Dollar annual deficit - no screams heard from the RWWs.
RW Obama cuts that annual deficit in half - RWWs scream.
RWW Bush starts three illegal and unnecessary wars and spends $ 6 Trillion Dollars - no screams from RWWs.
RW Obama closes down war in Iraq and commences bringing troops home - RWWs scream.
RWW spoiled rich City Boy Bush buys a ranch in Texas he hates so he can wear cowboy boots and jeans and have pictures taken of his "cutting brush" - and spend 25% of his time on vacation - no screams heard from RWWs.
RW Obama goes golfing and vacations about 1/2 the time of his predecessor - RWW scream.
Face it ... RWWs have lost any right or legitimacy - they've proven to be so wrong, so often, so badly, they should just withhold criticism.

USDA Publishes Final Rule to Help Facilities Be Better Prepared for Emergencies
WASHINGTON, Dec. 21, 2012--The U.S. Department of Agricultures (USDA) Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS) is amending its Animal Welfare Act (AWA) regulations to require all licensed and registered facilities to develop a contingency plan for emergencies so they can better protect their animals in disaster situations.
...This rule becomes effective on January 30, 2013. A written plan must be in place at all USDA-licensed and -registered facilities by July 29, 2013, and all employees must be trained on the plan by September 27,2013.
APHIS enforces the Animal Welfare Act (AWA). The AWA requires that minimum standards of care and treatment be provided for certain animals bred for commercial sale, used in research, transported commercially or exhibited to the public. It excludes those animals raised for food or fiber. Persons who operate facilities in these categories must provide their animals with adequate care and treatment in the areas of housing, handling, sanitation, nutrition, water, veterinary care and protection from extreme weather and temperatures.

Way cleared for horse slaughter to resume in US after 5-year ban
Congress has restored funding for US inspectors to oversee horse slaughter, paving the way for slaughter and processing to resume for the first time since 2006. Animal rights groups are livid.
By Patrik Jonsson, Staff writer / November 29, 2011
...A Department of Agriculture bill, signed into law Nov. 18, reinstates federal funding for USDA inspection of horse meat intended for human consumption, which Congress had withheld since 2006. That de facto ban on horse slaughter has now come to an end, to the outrage of the animal rights community, amid reports that US horse owners were simply shipping their animals to Mexico and Canada for slaughter and processing.
According to a pro-slaughter group called United Horsemen, meat processors are now considering opening facilities in at least a half-dozen states, including Georgia, North Dakota, Nebraska, Oregon, Wyoming, Montana, and possibly Idaho.
...The other view, accepted by Congress after a study by the Government Accountability Office (GAO), is that more abandoned and neglected horses in the US which has 9 million equines are being sold and processed for meat anyway in countries that may not have the same standard of humane euthanasia that US law requires. Government statistics show that 138,000 American horses were sold and processed for meat in other countries in 2010 a 660 percent increase from 2007, according to the GAO report.

Crawford, located about 25 miles west of Waco, was often the center of the world during the eight years Bush was in the White House.
Bush spent nearly 500 days of his presidency here, where he owns a 1,600-acre ranch just outside of town.
But just as Bush has faded from the public spotlight since he left the White House in 2009 for Dallas, where he now spends most of his time, the town has faded as well.
That changed when Bush bought the ranch in 1999. At the time he was a governor running for president.
... George Bush isnât spotted very often around these parts, and locals know when heâs in town.
...âHeâs usually here around the holidays, Easter and Thanksgiving,â Damon said.
Did anyone believe that RWW Bush actually was a "country boy" - cuttin brush and firewood for fun ?
