Elijah Cummings presses Darrell Issa for IRS transcript decision
By RACHAEL BADE | 6/13/13 2:10 PM EDT
http://www.politico.com/story/2013/06/elijah-...
Rep. Elijah Cummings is escalating his battle with House Oversight and Government Reform Committee Chairman Darrell Issa over releasing transcripts of interviews with IRS employees.
Cummings, the top Democrat on the oversight committee, on Thursday sent Issa a copy of transcripts he would like released. In a letter, Cummings asked Issa to decide by Monday which portions of the interview he would like redacted.
...“Although I understand the general concern with disclosing publicly full transcripts, in this case you have already taken numerous unilateral steps that argue in favor of a full release,” Cummings wrote in his letter Thursday.“You chose to unilaterally release select excerpts from these interviews to try to support your claims, you chose to pledge on national television that you would release the full transcripts, and you chose to allow select reporters to review at least some of these transcripts.”
The Maryland Democrat has said he would release all of the transcripts unless Issa does so on his own. In his letter, Cummings offered to redact portions of the transcript if Issa explained his reasoning. He didn’t specify when he might follow through with his pledge.
Cummings has accused Issa of cherry-picking damaging portions of interviews to release to the public. Issa, meanwhile, has warned Cummings that releasing full transcripts would “jeopardize the integrity of the investigation.”
This is too funny. Yeah, cherry picking. Nah.....democrats don't do THAT, huh? The IRS should be abolished, but instead, morally bankrupt left wing looneys support what the IRS did and hopefully, they'll be the next ones in the crosshairs. THAT would be poetic justice for sure. Anyone who supports the IRS on any level is insane.

Here comes another scandal involving the State Department. More officials caught lying. What is new. New lies and new liars that is all.
Sure why wouldn't I trust what my government says?
Just ask the liberals on this site and they are telling us that they believe everything the government is telling them. Whats not to believe?
What I do believe is not one thing is being done to prosecute any of these liars for their fraud or their lying under oath. Just endless investigations that seem to go nowhere.
That is why the liberals are so pitiful. They are spitting in the wind. It's about to the point that they should be pitied except they deserve ALL the humiliation they are getting.

This is without a doubt, the dumbest post I have EVER read in all the years I have been on Topix. You are such a small minded person and you simply can't take what is dished right back at you. Your first paragraph is the very definition of you left wing looney liberals and your socialist leader, so you can run your worthless game on someone who doesn't know better.
As for your last paragraph....you aren't intelligent enough to determine anything about anyone. If it pains you so much, why don't you go away? You have never added one thing of interest or one thing worthy of debate since you've been posting. You are ignorant, have no desire to learn and basically have no idea what is going on. The main reason you aren't capable of adding anything worthwhile to this forum is that you never do ANY research nor post any links, yet, you accuse others of not checking facts. Your post is bursting with stupidity. Why don't you just move on? I'm not going anywhere because individuals like you don't bother me one bit. You are the one who is complaining, so it behooves YOU to move on.
+1

I'm still laughing about the "have a face to face "talk" " comment, almost as much as the "you two are the same person". Someone else may have had a stroke...

Another tough guy threat? Lots of them around here.

I think I'd yawn a lot during that face to face "talk". Laugh a lot, too, probably.

In truth, I would have to agree with you, Wright is hardly mainstream - he's much more of a Liberation Theology adherent than a minister of true Christianity - but you kinda left yourself wide open on that one. ;)(I started to add Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton as well, but they're more political hucksters than true ministers.)
Along those lines though, I always thought that Obama's attendance at that church for 20 years was a very valid criticism. The man is a hate filled bigot, but Obama got a pass. Whereas if Romney had ever been in the same room with someone like David Duke I doubt we would have ever heard the end of it.
amusing Ag, God bless you. Romney? who comes from a church hate-filled radicals that massacred 200 innocent women and children? Great guy, huh. And their great leader 'Joe Smith' was hanged as a horse thief- you hang out with a great bunch, Ag.

Ah, what's the matter Chris, is the thrill gone.........
' "MSNBC host Chris Matthews was unhappy with President Barack Obama’s performance in Germany on Wednesday, claiming that the president’s big speech fell a little flat.
Some believe the president’s address lacked its usually theatrical “oomph” because it appears he used prepared notes instead of his usual teleprompter.
And why did the president use notes instead of the teleprompter?
Matthews believes the sun is to blame. The president was forced to read from prepared notes because his teleprompters were catching the sun’s glare — and in the process “ruined” everything for the president.
“I think a lot of the problem he had today was the late afternoon sun in Berlin ruined his use of the teleprompter and so his usual dramatic windup was ruined,” Matthews said after the speech.
“I think he was really struggling with the text there.”'
That's okay, Chris - you just keep making excuses for your crush.

This made me laugh out loud. Thanks for posting. Remember how the libs just swooned over Obama's eloquence? Without his teleprompter, he sounds a lot like Porky Pig. He stutters and "uh's" ad nauseam.

You're crazy woman. There is no IRS scandal. They have not and will not find anything linkin this to the White House. It's a dead end road. The head man at the IRS was a self proclaimed Republican/ Conservative. So this screwup is your parties fault. The IRS was doin their jobs. That's it. Let it go already. You're startin to look silly.:(

We'll just wait for Obama to tell Israel to close their synagogue schools. Let's see how that flies. You libs are past help.
It's amusing how much he cares about THEM when it's obvious he doesn't care about us. I can't believe they aren't throwing tomatoes at him. I'm sure he couldn't wait to get out of Washington.

The Irish Protestant/Catholic schism dates back to 1500.
It has as much to do with sectarian conflict over politics than religion.
Dumb ass Obama would not make such a comment among the Muslim groups of Shiites and Sunnis, but shows his stupidity among Christians as do you and dumass Jeb.

Come on Jeb, play fair. Are you really going to blame the current Mormon church for the actions of the early leaders in the Mountain Meadow Massacre. And there is some dispute as to whether or not church leaders knew about it - though, personally, I suspect they did. However, as much as I believe the Mormon church is not a Christian church, their leaders do not spew the hatred and venom that Wright does. There are so many things about the Mormon church that I admire - the emphasis on family and traditional values, the community support they practice, the emphasis on service - we could learn a lot from them. Unfortunately, I believe their doctrine is no more true than that of any other cult. Their belief of who Christ is and what God is are not Biblical. But while Romney was NOT my choice for the Republican nominee I would still prefer him over Obama any day of the week.

Did you see this one, apparently he has gotten a little sensitive to the criticism that he can't remember his name without a teleprompter and so has started using notes - but looks what happens when he doesn't have them:
