LOL! Whatever.

By the way, have you noticed how many Republicans (and everybody else) are completely sick of Ted Cruz?

McCain even had to finally give this moron a smack-down.

Reformed health care, millions more insured than before, womens rights, all kinds of things. Go back to the list I've posted directly to you at least 18 times when asking about what happened in those two years.

Compared to what the Republicans have accomplished since then it seems infinite. The only thing they have on their list is voting to repeal PPACA 37 times and tanking the nations credit rating. That's it.

Bush tanked economy - which is reason for 1 & 2. Bush put the soldiers in the Middle East (for reasons no one can explain except Haliburton) which accounts for #3. But once we've changed the stability factors in the region the adults have to keep troops there until a fully responsible pull-out can be achieved.

If you live on sound-bites and slogans that might sound like something to gloat over. If you look at what actually is happens on the floor and the real political process like an educated adult would, it means nothing.

What else you got? Anything that actually reflects the real world?

@ Conservatives.
After posting in this thread for months, it’s obvious the gap between Conservatives and Liberals is so huge it will never be bridged. We here on topix are just a micronism of what we see on the national level and in our elected officials.
I have also found by being involved on topix, I have become more or less obsessive/compulsive in posting so I have decided to take a hiatus from topix for the moral good of my soul. When one becomes so absorbed in politics where it affects one’s moral compass, the effort is not worth it. My life does NOT revolve around politics; I just get sucked into it occasionally.
I have great faith in conservative principles as they have stood the test of time, not so the liberal principles.
I’m giving a top ten list of conservative principles along with a top ten list of liberal principles.
And finally I’m giving a top ten list of philosophical principles.
Maybe some of you can discern some similarity in these principles, maybe not.
Conservative principles::
Web link:
http://www.kirkcenter.org/index.php/detail/te...
First, the conservative believes that there exists an enduring moral order.
Second, the conservative adheres to custom, convention, and continuity.
Third, conservatives believe in what may be called the principle of prescription.
Fourth, conservatives are guided by their principle of prudence.
Fifth, conservatives pay attention to the principle of variety.
Sixth, conservatives are chastened by their principle of imperfectability.
Seventh, conservatives are persuaded that freedom and property are closely linked.
Eighth, conservatives uphold voluntary community, quite as they oppose involuntary collectivism.
Ninth, the conservative perceives the need for prudent restraints upon power and upon human passions.
Tenth, the thinking conservative understands that permanence and change must be recognized and reconciled in a vigorous society.
Liberal principles, note some of these principles have changed to day due to socialist influence::
Web link;;
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/geoffrey-r-ston...
1. Liberals believe individuals should doubt their own truths and consider fairly and open-mindedly the truths of others.
2. Liberals believe individuals should be tolerant and respectful of difference.
3. Liberals believe individuals have both a right and a responsibility to participate in public debate.
4. Liberals believe "we the people" are the governors and not the subjects of government, and that government must treat each person with that in mind.
5. Liberals believe government must respect and affirmatively safeguard the liberty, equality and dignity of each individual.
6. Liberals believe government has a fundamental responsibility to help those who are less fortunate.
7. Liberals believe government should never act on the basis of sectarian faith.
8. Liberals believe courts have a special responsibility to protect individual liberties.
9. Liberals believe government must protect the safety and security of the people, for without such protection liberalism is impossible.
10. Liberals believe government must protect the safety and security of the people, without unnecessarily sacrificing constitutional values.
Philosophical principles::
Web link;;
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/home/moslive/artic...
1. THE HARM PRINCIPLE
2. THE PRINCIPLE OF SUFFICIENT REASON
3. THE MEAN
4. THE FALSIFICATION PRINCIPLE
5. OUGHT IMPLIES CAN
6. THE PRINCIPLE OF EVIDENCE
7. THE PRINCIPLE OF CHARITY
8. THE DIFFERENCE PRINCIPLE
9. JUST WAR
10. OCCAM'S RAZOR
To the conservatives on topix, stand fast and live by your principles.
To the liberals, good riddance.
Yes, Take a Break, Take a long long break!

OK All those who are not republicans our biggest battle lies ahead! We need to defeat the most dangerous among us (republicans). When someone brings up Haliburton they turn a deaf ear, they are obsessed in involving our country in all kinds of wars around the world but to hell with spending on much needed projects here at home. THEY are truly the most destructive dangerous misguided, self deceived FOOLS our great country has ever had to deal with. As Winston Churchill said of the Nazis" We will fight them in the streets, the countryside, and our shores. Never give in nor never give up fighting America's Public Enemy Number 1. From this point onward there can be no compromise with these mentally disturbed idiots who are bound and determined to take all of us down with them!

To republicans everywhere, Moore Okla. 90% republican spider web, very disrespectful of the president. Your town has been devastated but this president will help you. If bush or romney were in office and this town was 90% democrat they would take their sweet time standing around the camera eating sandwiches while thousands suffered uneedlessly(like New Orleans). Now this should be a wakeup call to hardcore repubs(the worst of the worst). 33% of voters are republican and but 25% are incorrigible hardcore. So 1 out of 4 people you see in public are infected with the worst disease possible. Republicans showed no mercy when they were in office for 8 years and now none will be shown to them.

Ah.... Another Right Wing Wacko with "Union Envy".
RWWs, because they don't have the courage and convictions necessary to organize and fight for their families' welfare, prefer to beg from their corporate masters like serfs to their feudal kings.
They are so jealous of union members enjoying higher wages, better benefits, nice pensions and job security, they just don't have the intestinal fortitude to fight for their rights. Serfdom is their lot in life.
Union membership is down because the corporate masters and their Right Wing Wackos serfs have joined forced to create "Right to Starve States".
Now the Right Wing Wackos get to starve.
We union members will continue to enjoy our decent wages, pensions, and benefits.
An interesting quote from a pretty good book (no need to name, the anticipated respondents will jump on the author, whom I happen to know):

"Free trade weakened labor unions' monopolies on the supply of labor for industries such as steel, auto manufacturing, and airlines and limited the wage premiums they collected from consumers. THE HIGHER PAY OF UNION JOBS REPRESENTS NOTHING MORE THAN AN UNFAIR TAX ON CONSUMERS (caps are mine). Higher priced goods that cover the higher cost of union labor transfer money from poorer non-union consumers to highly paid union labor. This transfer has never been economically sustainable without government mandated labor laws and closed trade borders that prevent non-union competition. If some manufacturers can shift a portion of their manufacturing to lower cost non-union suppliers...then prices will fall to match the lower cost of labor. Consumers benefit from lower prices. In the 1970s and 1980s, foreign competition gained a toehold in the markets. Prices fell and consumers captured the savings. The United States only lost high paying union jobs because unions lost their ability to tax consumers."

Imagine that, moving production to lower cost producers...

Wouldn't someone that wanted to "treat" all better, be for lower cost products? Are the union workers "paying" their fair share?

Hmmm...
